  1. It's amazing even in these few down years in hockeytown that NHL Legends still come to Detroit just like kaner and wear that winged wheel and do great things in it

  2. When Chellios came over, I hated him until I noticed how hard and well he played. He's now a beloved Red Wing and paved the way for Cat and Kane! All will have a piece of Red Wings history, Madano was a Red Wing when he set the record, Hully as well was a Red Wing who is the last American (he has dual citizenship w/Canada)

  3. I hate everything about this weird McAfee english accent thing with hockey and abusing Kaner’s name like that.

  4. Kane's been on Letterman and Leno (twice). He got with Taylor Swift like 15 years before Travis Kelce and had the good sense not to marry her. Deadspin used to have an entire section dedicated to stories about him. He's had 3 championships and 3 major scandals. He's an actual legend and superstar. Vibe I get from this interview is him, his career and his sport being looked down on as small timey by these football guys. No. Charles Barkley used to go to Kane's playoff games wearing a Kane jersey. He gets mentioned in rap lyrics. Whoever these dudes thought they were talking to here, they weren't.

  5. Why does it say American Born Skaters? He has the most points among ALL American Born PLAYERS. Period. There is no need to differentiate here.

  6. Kane doesn’t care about Team USA at all, and inside, he’s rooting for them to get obliterated as he should

  7. It finally dawned on me that out of the thousands of kids, teenagers and adults I ever played hockey with, and I am no all-time great hockey player obviously, it dawned on me that he’s the only person I ever seen in my life, along with all the million others in America that i never got to play with, but he is the one that is the best of us in this great country of the United States of America. Think about it that way yourself. I don’t care how many seasons, I don’t care what teams he played for. This is a big big big deal. Canada would have made this a way bigger deal than Kaner did. I guess because it’s hockey and that is their thing. But this is a huge thing for a person to be the greatest American hockey player. If you think about it the best to ever do it are Canadian and probably always will be. But 90% or more of the teams are USA. It says a lot about Canada I know. But Kanner that’s a huge huge deal bro.

  8. I just really regret that Kaner isn’t playing in these olimps and that’s nothing against him. I just think he deserves it. It would be awesome. And it would not hurt the team at all. It would help and that’s without saying he’s better than anyone else. At this point anyways.

  9. "There's only one Hockeytown…it's Detroit." He said it's so matter of factly. Beautiful.

  10. Can’t even get his name right. Greatest American born player…. Hard to believe he went on this clown show before chiclets
