Cam has returned from his foray into moving and clearing out boxes… and not much has changed.
At all.
In fact, when Cam left on January 16th, the Winnipeg Jets were eight points out. Now, they’re nine points out… eight games deeper into the season.
With seven games remaining before the March 6th NHL Trade Deadline it sure seems like a sell off is pending for the Jets.
But, hope is not all lost… yet.
The Jets are in Dallas tonight to face their division rival, the Stars, which is always a massive contest for both clubs.
Can Winnipeg rise to the occasion?
Jim and Cam are joined by Robert Tiffin from StarsThoughts.com to breakdown the match-up and what’s changed for the Stars as they’ve seemed to re-find their game.
Plus, the guys have to talk about Barry Trotz and his upcoming departure as the general manager of the Nashville Predators. What if he would have taken the long rumored job in Winnipeg?

Nope it has to be Wake UP MAn
Dallas blow out tonight
I’m a lifelong jets fan first time listener today
My family had tickets for the original jets and my grandfather had centre ice tickets first pick bc he was an original ticket holder .
I saw the last game they played before they left and still haven’t seen them play in the new arena . Also live in BC.
I saw the way Bucky started the first 5 games and said the jets weren’t gonna make the playoffs it’s really too bad but it seems like guys aren’t playing under the coach the same way at all or even close to the same way . Honestly guys just tank ! I hate to say it and never said it but seriously just tank !
Chevy is coming on the end of a very long run unless they seriously TANK
It’s ok next year will b a contender again .
The team is far from any kind of a rebuild next year will b great .
Go jets go
JUST TANK
Trots will never coach the jets
Historically, this team has not been good when trailing after 2 periods. Last season, despite having the best record, they were 2-18-2 when trailing after 2. And the year before that, they were 4-17-1. And the year before that, 4-23-0.
So the comeback against Florida was the exception.
This is a fromt-running team that looks good when they have a lead, and playing their system. But if their system breaks down, and they are behind, they do not have enough talent to bring them back in games to win them. They're not going to be able to do what Tampa did yesterday, or what the Caps did on Saturday.
Carolina Montreal in the east final
Edmonton Colorado in the west
Carolina wins the cup
Go Ehlers !!
