It's baffling how vastly different the two sides of wings fandom are. The same fans who want the wings to push for playoffs are the same that are predicting the fall off. The holes in the roster are not something yzerman should ignore. But he also shouldn't be paying top dollar for rentals. You're gonna see team like Dallas and Minnesota and maybe Pittsburg send huge trade packages for aging veterans on huge contracts. Do you expect yzerman to pay first rounders and top prospects and a 50$ million dollar extension to Artemi panarin? You gonna be ok with the wings taking on a 7 million aav nazim kadri contract until he's 39? And it's got a trade clause? Host is right. Wings fans are gonna be disappointed. I'd be more inclined to see a trade for luke schen or Logan Stanley from Winnipeg. We need to understand yzerman will pay top dollar for players that are young and will be here for a long time. Not the other way around. We aren't perennial cup contenders yet.
I think so too because Yzerman refuses to get any grit on this team.
The wings problem is they have no grit, they don’t have the knock the snot out of you attitude like Florida had winning the last two cups.
The wings play big soft slow guys like Rasmussen and Soderbloom that don’t play to their size they don’t check don’t drop the gloves and other teams know the wings are soft as they come.
If your going to have guys on the grind line that don’t check don’t have big slow guys get small quick guys if them two big softies don’t want to get dirty z
