On the bright side, the 2026 NHL draft is considered to be loaded with high-end talent. Maybe the Rangers can acquire more 1st round draft picks when they sell off their top players soon including Panarin and Zibanejad. Or even better, maybe Commissioner Bettman can rig the draft again and have the Rangers "win" the #1 pick in the draft lottery once again
How tone deaf can you be??? If his intention was anything other than gaslighting the entire fanbase, mission failed. Who even writes letters to their fans like this??? Is this happening with other GM's in other sports? Makes me want to scromit everywhere knowing this buffoon has his job as long as he wants it.
Does it make sense to have the 'tool' who constructed this mess be in charge of the 're-tool'? Hire George McPhee ASAP.
The crew on the NHL Network didn't have much good to say about the Rangers "Letter". They never mentioned Drury by name, saying "The Rangers". They aren't saying it is a retool, he attempted that last season. "So what is this, a retool of a retool?" This is a rebuild, plain and simple!" "And they've lost any leverage they may have had, by announcing this now."
Then they said, "The Rangers have very little prospects to trade!"
Panarin won't bring in as much as you might think, because the Rangers are between a rock and a hard place and other GMs know it. Here it is Rangers, take it or leave it. Then Panarin may not give the Rangers a no trade list and go straight to free agency and they lose him for nothing. One guy said, "I could tell you how I really feel, but this is a family show. What you have said,was being too kind!"
Drury should've sent out a resignation letter. He has destroyed this organization beyond repair. Nothing in pipeline and players on the varsity losing value game by game

The GREATEST part of Dolan’s “Love letter” for Drury is that the TRUE Ranger fans, (the ones that aren’t afraid to call this team & org out/like it is), will bombard MSG even MORE now with the “Fire Drury!” chants! 🤘🤩🤘(at least they SHOULD!)

Does anyone out there have any confidence that Drury knows talent and how to acquire it? And can the Rangers all of a sudden magically develop young prospects? They certainly have not shown that in the past. Lafy, Kapo Kako were high draft picks and both disappointed, and many others through the years. The Rangers always developed good goalies, but lack in the development of forwards and defensemen. So, no confidence in Drury or the Ranger organization as it stands to produce a cup team for many, many years. Sucks being a Ranger fan.!!!

If the Rangers truly want to make changes, they should start with Drury. I don't trust him to do anything right.

Truth be told and regardless of ownership & front offices, NYR are a terribly failed franchise. ONE CUP IN 86 YEARS says it all. As a NYR fan since 1967-68, rarely have I seen the cupboard this bare of any young top six F's or top four D-men. Clearly, Drury is out of his depth and cannot be retained. A complete organizational restructure (Hartford inclusive) accompanied by a roster rebuild is required. This will take a minimum of three years once a competent executive team is put in place.
rebuild/retool its symantics. bottom line is they cant make the same mistake as last time. bail on the plan to sign a massive UFA so prospects cant develop.
I think laf has enough brand name equity that someone will take his contract. 7m is like barely line 2 money these days.

WOW you guys are unbelievable. I use to love this podcast but your negativity is way over the top. Why are you even Ranger fans? You've had NOTHING positive to say all year, you down play everything. So you know what, try making draft picks before the draft and see how smart you really are instead of always being Monday morning quarterbacks who have all the answers once the game is over or better yet since you all think they do nothing right, just go root for another team. Try making a trade when other teams know you are desperate and know you don't have the money to sign a player. It's one thing to have an opinion but lately you guys bash this team worse then the haters from other teams. Hell, Anthony is more positive than you especially Marc who has been way over the top! I barely listen to you anymore and can never see me donating any money to you guys ever again! GM'S rely on their scouting staff to give them the best players to draft and you guys saying it's on the GM when draft picks don't pan out is just WRONG! While I would normally agree with you on A Rebuild, I would only do so with another GM. I think that Chris Drury should do everything he can do to get us A Stanley Cup during his tenure here. If he can't get it done, then leave it to another GM. The only way I see them doing A Rebuild, with Chris Drury there, is to relinquish his GM Duties to someone else & only focus on being President. Therefore, he should go out & get us that Stanley Cup that he was hired/extended to get us. Let me know what you think

The comment about resigning Artemi Panarin might not be so much of a joke as the guy meant it to be. Chris Drury is a very secretive GM, a la Lou. He might be playing on the fact, as we all know, Artemi Panarin wants to stay in NY & by Chris Drury putting out this letter, it might make him accept A Very Team Friendly Price. We have to remember that it took long from the time Chris Drury put out The Kreider/Trouba Letter to their actual departures. Let me know what you think

Regarding big money players, at the very least, we can say he (Chris Drury) got rid of salary, however, on the other hand, he did nothing with it, such as to go out and get a big money player, such as the type of player Jason Robertson is. Let me know what you think
Forgive me for saying this, but so many Rangers Fans have to own up and take blame for the things that are going on. I can remember, in so many of the comments, how The Kids had to be given a chance to play Top Line Minutes, in 2018-9 & how so many players were in the lineup & standing in their way. Once again, while the last thing that I want to do is praise David Quinn, especially since he's not my favorite coach, but deserves his do, he was right about The Kids & right that The Kids were, at best, 3rd Liners, while many fans were calling for exactly what Chris Drury did, in Pavel Buchnievich to The St. Louis Blues, not that Sammy Blais was this Phenom but to make room for The Kids on The Top Line. Therefore, I think that those fans need to own up to it. While we might continue trading these scorers, we need to get scorers back. Let me know what you think
The one dilemma that nobody is talking about is, that, with The 2018 Letter, The Mission Statement was that we were going to Rebuild, Lose, etc., & that The Fans Should Be Very Patient. In This Letter, as with The Hiring Of Chris Drury & The John Davidson & Jeff Gorton Firings, The Mission Statement was/is To Win A Stanley Cup Now. Therefore, if you follow The Logic, the only Course Of Action is somehow for Chris Drury to pull out some magic (which he has shown that he is capable of doing, when he got many of those Rentals, that he screwed up by not keeping the players, such as Frank Vatrano & other) & get us A Stanley Cup. If that is not going to be the case, then another GM has to do it (whether or not Chris Drury remains President). Let me know what you think
Nick is right about The Picks not being Chris Drury's fault.
That's why I've been cutting Chris Drury some slack, due to what Nick said about the picks (John Davidson & Jeff Gorton were to blame), however, Evan makes A Good Point. Knowing some of this, should've made moves to dump Laf, Kakko & others, when they were sought after by many teams, rather than held onto them when all of these guys (Jack Eichel & others) were being dangled (no pun intended, Steve Dangle – LOL) in front of us.
