  1. Anyone who listened to the Leafs fans & commentators after Tuesday night heard them just RAVE about the Sabres top four defensemen. Barn Burner was raving too.
When the top 4 are cooking like they have been, the team is like a swarm of buzzing hornets. In the O zone they can absolutely put the other team in a blender.

  2. Once again, this Habs game is HUUUUUUGE, especially after the Habs beating the Avs and the Caps beating the Redwings. Let it all hang out!

BTW, the OP narrative is NOT a thing of the past. You guys are too soft on him. He makes $8M/yr! We're not cherry picking. Yes, he does play D less physically yet smartly in his own way. But he doesn't track players around the net well. He doesn't block shots. He isn't collecting points. He's sooo talented. What a waste! How many mulligans does he get?

If you replay yesterday, he bungled the puck and Byram said something to him as they were coming off the ice. OP snapped at him. I thought it was interesting. Is he overly sensitive to criticism? I'll bet any money that this is one of his quirks.

  3. It must be devastating for Adams to witness Sabres go on this current run. This has been beyond unbelievable that the minor changes made during the off-season and finally changing the dead weight in the front office could result in such a dramatic turnaround.

  4. Complaining about individual players not producing points in the midst of a franchise best winning run is the land of fools

  5. In my honest opinion, much of this run comes from Ruff changing systems to embrace his personnel: elite offensive defensemen and high iq forwards. That’s why we can play this five-man shuffle system

  6. Owen Power has greatly improved, definitely. Is he playing up to his $8+ million dollar contract? I don't think so. I still see him being worth more in a trade than on the roster. I don't think he's a bust or anything silly like that. He has great trade value because he is a very good player with a high ceiling.

  7. Totally agree with your take on Greenway. He would be a great asset in the post season if they arrive. One of my issues with Power is his apparent indecisiveness in the offensive zone whenever the puck is on his stick when he's on the point.

  8. Greenway blows. His only attributes are his size & does well on the PK because you don't have to skate around. What has happened when he's on the ice for the last two seasons. A whopping 67 gp. 4 goals & 9 assists. But even worse on the ice for 31 goals for vs 60 against. We have plenty of PKers now. Tuch, Mal, Ben, McC… Even Danforth historically has done well. Send packing. AJ Greer UFA replacement is an idea.

  9. Power is a quiet, private guy like Dahlin was when everyone wanted him traded. It took Dahls several years to get it together. Power will develop into a real top defenseman, just wait & see

  10. To make room for Tuch & Benson deals I'd trade Krebs right now. He's got as much value as he ever has right now. I said the same thing on Feb 10, 2024 about Mitts & that has proven to be a great decision for the franchise. We don't have room for his raise because of his inflated stats playing up with Tage for 20 games or getting the EN points. Danforth can play his minutes as well as Kozak. Perfect time to move him. I'm fine with a rental type since it's more about leaving room for next years contracts. Jamie Oleksiak type rental is fine by me. (I realize Sea is in 3rd & they might not want to move him)

  11. best team in league since Dec 9th. they are a wagon right now. why change a thing? they are playing without their 1C, 2C, and 4C, plus Greenway most of the time. They are likely ALL coming back, so no need to worry ppl like Helenius (who has been fine) will be playing in playoffs. I think they've earned the right to see what they can do as is. Everyone is doing what they are supposed to and contributing, even Quinn who Lindy has praised for his skating improvement. Taking pieces out of this lineup could do more harm than good right now. You need young, cheap pieces to sustain a competitive team anyway, so give them a shot. See who fails… but maybe, like the '05-'06 team, they won't.

  12. Any interest in trading for Stanley Cup winning D man Luke Schenn? He would bring some veteran leadership but he might be too slow to keep up with his teammates .Thanks as usual for the video guys

  13. I would love to see an article about how the NHL salary cap differs from the NFL. We see contract restructures all the time in the NFL, but never in hockey? Is it all because of guaranteed salaries in the NHL?

  14. This reminds me of when the Panthers just squeezed in by a point over sabres in ‘22. They just seemed to unlock another level and that teams been an extremely good team ever since when healthy.

  15. There is no patience for prospects Forwards take until age 23 Defense age 25 goalies age 27. There are very few Celebrinis or Bedards most prospects take a while which is why the Doan trade was the best trade GMKA made

  16. Love what you both said about Greenway. I honestly do not understand what people are not seeing in his play! I get the contract and the injuries, but usually when you hear from detractors they mention how Greenway does not score / does not drive play… and every time I see I can’t help but thinking “have you seen him play on the Pk? Have you seen his physical play, willingness to throw checks, defend players that are targeted by the opposing teams “bigger” “heavier” players? I just think people still remember 2nd rd pick and 4 million dollar contract and that is all they see. It’s too bad cause if you trade this player … any playoff team would want him, but the return would only be like a 4th rd pick and low end prospect. Gotta hope he gets healthy and can help the team into the playoffs. Go Sabres!

  17. The style that the Sabres are playing with such an active defense reminds me of the Soviet Red Amy teams. I'm thinking "Bo Byramov". 🤣

  18. My criticism of power was he lacked that fire/urgency/compete. Definitely starting to look better
