Well its pretty simple, goalies have been taught to turn their hips when pucks go into their 5 hole to avoid the puck dribbling through into the net. So he just did what he was trained to do and the rest was primarily thanks to his defensemen not allowing someone to poke the loose puck in the net. I guess its impressive but not really……based on how the season has looked for Lankinen (3.34 GAA) this was more luck than skill.
