  1. Noticeably reinbacker and engstrom are not mentioned. The note is non sense. Not true. Pure speculation.

  2. I’m in the camp of, If you’re going to be active at the deadline, it’s to move pieces out. There’s a logjam, and it’s a great chance to get picks while opening the door for the next wave.

  3. Love this win and as hopeful I am for this team, I still feel there are two big issues that need to be addressed. 1. They've never had a goaltending problem. They have a clearing the front of the net problem. The amount of garbage point shots that get through with traffic right in front of their net minders is ridiculous as evidenced by the high amount of garbage ricochet goals other teams have scored. 2. The number of times they work the puck D to D behind the net trying to get the perfect breakout while the other team has two forecheckers pressing hard instead of clearing the puck is beyond frustrating. As well as the times a winger gets the puck and slings it back to the defense who are still trying to regroup from a puck battle instead of just clearing the zone and moving it forward also frustrating perfect example was Colorado's 2nd goal on Thursday. Zone was cleared and then puck was thrown back to an unprepared defense. Sorry… big rant I know, but this team can do it. Just have to clean up some sloppiness.

  4. I think this was their best game of the season. We got pinned in our own end only 3 times instead of 6 or 7. Doby was good and the rest of the team played very good two-way hockey.

  5. Be thankful that cole and lane are not olympians.. it just means we have them to ourselves.. sux for them from a personal standpoint but if they were that selfish they wouldnt be the kind of guys we want on the habs

  6. Please stop with that insulting pic of Dobeš on the mattress, without him we'd be up shits creek…give this guy his due! TY

  7. Goal scores in the NHL:
    3. Caufield 32
    4. J. Robertson 30
    5. DeBrincat 30

    NOT on Team USA.

  8. The Habs' numerous third-period comebacks kind of undermines the narrative that their alleged immaturity is responsible for their tendency to blow leads.
I have had a hard time understanding why so many people seemed to be so down on Dobes. Yes, he went through a tough stretch,, but he's a rookie–a rookie who is 18-5-3!!! Those 18 wins are the most important number for any goalie.
Sorry, Jesse, Mike Matheson did not have a good night. He made several head-scratching dumb plays tonight.

  9. Slaf, Kapa, Demi they are extraordinary 🙂 Great game, great team great Dobes and Caufield 🙂

  10. Dobes was doing this, playing lights out but they stupidly sat him for over a week (close to two) to let Monty play! Run strictly Dobes until he says he needs a break!

  11. Slaf isn't a kid anymore. When he scores he keeps it serious. He's taking care of business.

  12. With the trade talks Kent knows he’s got special kids coming up we’re building a team for decades of dominance not guys for now unless id trade our top prospects for McDavid lol that’s it lmao

  13. ..another fan from Slovakia 🇸🇰… Montreal plays beautiful hockey, another sleepless night… its worth it ..Go Habs Go …you both do amazing job,.. never miss your game summary ….

  14. Bufalo was the best team on the last 20 games in houl NHL. Avs was third. I thing, Montreal will be the first one on the end of this season, with Dobes. Unbelievable.. Kent Hughes, Grant, MSL.. what a great job!?

  15. Of course the teams will call Hughes about our prospects, but let's be clear:

    Fowler🔒, Hage🔒, and Zharovsky🔒 are untouchable, that's all, Next!

  16. This is the best team I've seen in Montreal for decades. If we can have this kind of goaltending until the end, the Habs might be serious contenders as soon as now.

  17. It’s true Dobson and Hutson are dynamite together. And Guhle and Matheson are also very effective.

  18. As for trades I say fuck it we ball! Unless we get an offer we can’t possibly refuse I wouldn’t trade Hage, Zharvosky or Fowler until we get to see what they actually can do in the league

  19. So glad Caufield is not going to the Olympics. Gives him a rest and motivates him even more.
Get off the advanced stats and just look at the results. Play Dobes every game until the Olympic break.
This was a playoff type game. The Canadiens handled the physical play well. I just wish they would be better in the 2nd period and stay out of the penalty box.
Still need another defenceman who MSL trusts enough to play more than 8 minutes a game.

  20. i dont think the Canadiens need anyone for now Newhook is getting close to a return Laine also

  21. U need a star forward coming back… fowler is not going anywhere… if kapanen goes u need a top center… and if they do trade top prospects and pics, my bet is hugues know he can get a solide key player afterwards through ufa… otherwise… patience is key

  22. Not unbelievable at all! In the league on any given night any team has a chance to win. Habs are showing they are increasingly competitive in a very tough division. Last night’s game was hotly contested, so happy that we got the bounces, Sabres did not. GHG! Shout out to Buffalo fans, who like us, have suffered through years of mediocrity and now have an exciting team. A series between these two would be brutal.

  23. Fan from slovakia here 🇸🇰 its so nice to see montreal being this good and doby what a night . Another of many sleepless nights , or sleeping like 4 hours because i watch montreal till 4am but its worth every minute💪hope one day i will scream allez inside of the bell center 🌞

  24. this cannot be the same team, though
you definitely are a contender, at least for the conference finals
but what shocked me the most is,
suzuki, he used to be slow, sometimes I thought about him he's just lazy to move, average at face offs
now ? he is fast, his acceleration and his play near the boards improve a lot
is this the same guy ? since this one is like "little crosby", huge improvement and if he keeps on this track then he soon hits the list "top 10 scoring players per season"
hutson looks like if he was already for 10 years on nhl, huge talent
dobes was a good pick, looks like he's better abd better, definitely the czech goalkeepers is always a good investment
add another solid centre [zacha like], good lw forthe blue line, and one or two massive and good defenders and you're going for the cup
