Penguins Postgame: Old lessons come in handy, from tears to relief

  1. Hey Dan! Agree with the overall assessment of the game. It definitely felt like they 'got soft' in the 3rd, almost forgetting to 'PLAY TO WIN ' – like they were playing 'not to lose'. They need to keep the pressure on ALL 60 minutes. There are too many teams that can take advantage of that. But, they held on for the 'W'. Interesting game – to say the least. . . Have a great night! Be safe and stay warm!! Cheers!! 😉😉

  2. They fell asleep in the 3rd. Stu may have carded a .750 but the fault is entirely on the team in-front of him. We are in too important a stretch for pts to be writing teams off while you are playing them. I swear the Rangers letter to the fans got to the Penguins locker room. Thank the lord the 4th line shows up every time, regardless of where the other team stands.

  3. At this time last year, the pens were not a playoff team..
What a turn around this year.
This game WASN'T one to write home about, but they had just enough gas to cross the finish line.. Hopefully they can shut down there opponents next time there up by 3-4.goals
They have to finish with a convention win when they play on national TV..

  4. I watch the game on TV at gym while on the bike and went to the sauna after they went up 4 to 1 and listen to game on Iheart app while in sauna and it raise my heart rate more than normal in sauna.

  5. The Refs in the NHL is garbage. They always allow the cheap shots artist get away with murder. The Penguins need to start cheap shot other teams and bring up boko if you have to for a few games to put the NHL on notice

  6. This was a weird one. Usually when you get an empty netter to make it 6-3 with a minute left in the game…. you think, OK that's a wrap. To then give up 2 goals in the final minute is something I can't recall ever seeing.

  7. Anyone else notice when Chinakov rang one off the post it sounded like he released the puck as you heard the ting? Wicked shot, I get the mic is far from the puck, but still crazy.

  8. I wonder what Sully was thinking watching the Pens' 4th line contribute so much. He treated the 4th line like an afterthought.
