I never thought the core was good enough to win cup but there was hope. Once they took the majority of the cap that was it. The writing was on the wall. Now, yes they are struggling but with cap going up they can easily retool. It's not a rebuild they have enough pieces and the cap will open up room to go shopping but they need 1 goalie they can depend on and we clearly don't have that.
As a Bruins fan Brandon Carlo played well on Bruins structured defensive team play…With the Leafs haphazard chickens skating with their heads cut off non structured play Carlo is exposed along with entire Leafs defensive group…Feel bad Carlo after his Bruins good service ended up with the Leafs of all teams…By the way thank you for Fraser Minten…a wonderful young player who one day could possibly be Bruins Team Captain… and first round Leafs pick too…most memorable.
