  1. Yeah its just a misjudge by Ghule that leads to a dangerous situation…
At first I didnt actually notice the rotation by Manson to drive more of the lower back towars Ghule but yeah that was a pretty nice move to do, good catch.
I have no problems with the no call, and to be honest I'm just really glad Ghule was able to come back after leaving the bench and doesn't seem to be injured.

  2. I didn't see the game, so the first I'd seen of this was the start of your video. And my reaction was "wow that's a dirty elbow".

But once I watched your explanation, you're 100% right. This really illustrates how useful replays are. Before replays that would have been a 5 for elbowing.

The only thing I don't understand is why Manson's elbow went up so high afterward. It's awkward looking.

  3. Xhekaj does this… it's a 5 and a game. 2 game suspension after the fact.

At the end of the day, Guhle came back and absolutely dummied Lehkonen right before having a sweet assist… then just before the game ended, Xhekaj smashed Brindley. Both Guhle and Xhekaj showing how good hits are done. No elbow, no bullshit. Easy win for the boys. Onto the next.

  4. Oh yes, Guhle pulled Manson's arm into him and hit himself with his own arm.

When you freeze the frame Manson is bracing and it's clean.

The follow through makes it clear it's an elbow, with intent. Despite a full body ramming into him, which would pin his arm to his side if he were just bracing, his arm pushes up with enough force to overcome Guhle and push his arm back into his own face and then the follow through sent him flying.

This required a decent amount of force on Manson's part. Guhle isn't made out of paper.
