Jokiharju was back at practice today for Buffalo, who had broken a bone in his ankle blocking a shot in the first period of the first game of the season (he played the other two periods of that game). Will be huge for Dahlin to get his D partner back, but he will not play the next game, but hopefully the one following.

Labanc was slipping and falling himself while the “slewfoot” took place. Just doesn’t look intentional to me. Did Marchand ever get suspended for his obvious slewfoots?

George Parros has no business being head of the Department of Player Safety. There are certain teams that he obviously doesn't like, and one of them is the Sharks. There's no way that LaBanc should be suspended for that play. If he didn't like the play, why didn't he just fine him? A fine would have been more appropriate. Anybody remember Wilson last year where he smashed a guy in the head and ragdolling Artemi Panarin on the same play? Parros only fined Wilson, no suspension.
I'd put doughty on the team just for that drive to get on the team, that's an important mindset to harness imo

Not really surprised by Doughty; 1- it wasn't a fracture "just" a bone bruise which can be painful 2- He's a tough SOB who doesn't miss games playing behind two guys who dont miss games and 3- he can set an example for the younger players on what it takes to be a play off capable team, he might be a little jealous there out there playing well without him as well
LaBanc slips and takes out the other player! The player turns around sucker punches him and gets no penalty! Parros is a clown
Sieder the way he reacted looked bad but speaking from experience (shattered my elbow) you dont react like that if you break a bone. That was a stinger or like a tendon tear at worse. Glad hes okay.
When a bone breaks because you suddenly cant flex certain associated muscles, you actually almost get a bit confused along with pain
