Arbie had a terrible start to the season. Skating on egg shells all the time, cause if he did ANYTHING wrong, he was benched for the rest of the game. At a certain point, he flipped that script completely and probably said to himself that playing like that was only making matters worse. So he decided to just play his game. His skating speed is up, which gives him better opportunities for carrying the puck and also targeting hits more easily. Sure he makes some mistakes but surprise surprise, they ALL do! So for that, I'd consider him very close to above average. And yes Canadiens without him and Anderson would be "The Spice girls" and would be CRUSHED out of the playoffs in 4 games.

Team Doby here. Let's be honest, if Doby's name was Doberaux and Monty's name Monteš then Doby would have been "above average" and Monty "pure ass". They are so very much not in the same category.
I truly wish Monty to get his shit together but it's been a huge struggle so far this season. I also wish that Marty lets Doby play as long as he's hot.

Hockey analyst say that for a team to go to the Stanley Cup a team needs to have 3-4 studs. The Habs have 5! Too bad one isn't a goalie.
Monty not being 'pure ass' is shocking. He's not only substantially the worst goalie on the team, he's only a bit better than two or three other guys in the entirety of the league.
Suz is playing great, but not his best. He's performing but sometimes he plays slow and removing slaf from his line definitely shook his play. More that half of his pts are on PP. I think he deserves the Above expectation because we all know his celling is higher.

I don't agree at all about Dobson. He doesn't give 100% most of the time. He's an overpaid below average. Neither about Danault, he brings a lot on face-offs and PK. Not terrific judgement, Hockey Junkie.
Totally agree except Id have Beck in Below Average simply because the product doesn't equal the hype. Denault Id have given Average, as hes a 3rd line center. Face offs and defence are what hes there for….
I know you had to be wrong about somebody… But why Doby, he was at least average if not better. I know we deserve greater goalkeeper but he should have gotten the chance when he was hot and it would be another story. But below average no…

Alrighty so you wanna hear my unimportant thoughts? I'd put Pepperoni Pizza Phil Danault at Average. Hes the perfect guy you need right now. The Face offs hes won, the all too important defensive forward that we needed so bad. 3c Hes the man. Jake Evans was another one. Hes right where we need him. Sure, with mario armia gone that probably affected him a little bit BUT, hes the depth bottom 6 C we needed. Doby I'd put at Average and monty below average. Doby gets us the W's, sometimes arent the prettiest BUT they're wins none the less. Monty I'd put at below for the benefit of the doubt, but if he doesnt improve come push for ploffs hes ass. Some would do it now, but again. benefit of the doubt. Engstrom and Davidson, I barely even noticed. Joe? Be gone Joe, sorry not sorry. Ship him off at the trade deadline. Owen Beck? Not sure, if there was one between average and below average i'd put him there. Personally expected a little more given how much time hes been given in the show so far, but again hes still one of those pups we don't wanna get rid of, give him some time. And last one, Gally, dudes tank is almost empty imo. Hes fighting tooth and nail but you can see where hes starting to go down a little bit, but god dammit i love him. We all do. He gets an Honourable Average in my books.

The tier of "pure ass" was made for one and only one player, likely the second worst defenseman in the league by every metric that contributes to winning, the one singlehandedly destroying the possession numbers and game of every person unlucky enough to be paired with him, the man who has only regressed since his rookie season rather than growing in any way whatsoever despite the infinite patience afforded him when he's never put up a single good game, the ECHL player: Arber Xhekaj.
