  1. That game against the Pens was the defining moment of the season.

Really made the team believe in what they could do.

  2. Brodie building the Sharks podcast Avengers! 😂🦈🦈🦈 Love to see all my favorite shows collab so much lately!

  3. Hey Brodie,
You know I love your conversations as a rule Brodie but, I particularly enjoy your conversations with my guys from The Fin Factor Super Producer Jason, Paul and Aaron. It's always fun for me to hear folks who follow the Sharks like all of you do talk shop in a "hockey hot stove" kind of format like Randy Hahn used to do between periods (I miss those).

Paul, I said it before (I think I was the first one to actually point it out on The Fin Factor a number of weeks ago?) you WERE right about the Sharks being a bubble/play off contender this season. Most people I heard talk about the Sharks (me included) felt like that was a big ask of this team but, shut my mouth the Sharks had other ideas and the guys produced a Kevin Constantine style leap this season over last season. I suspect this season will wind up being a franchise record for one season improvement over a previous season.

As a group the team has just exceeded reasonable expectations by a good bit. Macklin is of course the poster child for this. Personally I did not perceive that Macklin would be able to out play the leagues attempts to slow him down but, largely he has been able to frustrate teams attempts to contain him. In my opinion this is the main culprit why so many second year pro athletes struggle in their second seasons because the league figure out effective counter's to contain players forcing young players to adjust back to the tactics the league is employing to slow them down.

Just like Steph Curry however, Macklin has just mostly blown through the leagues best attempts to contain him. Pretty incredible really in so many ways. We all knew Macklin was a cornerstone type player to build a franchise around but, I don't think any of us expected him to do what he is doing. It's pretty incredible to witness.

Thanks so much Brodie for this fun conversation with the Boys from The Fin Factor. Always fun to hear you pick their brain. I hope you are well Brodie and keep up the excellent work man.
