I feel like Brad’s hands have mostly been tied since he got here. Last year’s deadline I don’t put on him. That was Shanny trying to save his job. Then free agency came and the cap jumped so much there was nothing available to him and the cupboard was bare to make a trade. It’s gonna take longer than 1 offseason to change this team.

With a team that takes chances it easily could have been 10, at home to buffalo you got skated out of the building. The only way to not have a 4-5 year rebuild is to be proactive & move guys you can’t sit on your hands when you have no prospects and no picks
Matthews is a joke. He simply is not a Leader. The organization has no business building anything around him at all. Staying tied to him after 9 years of failure in the post season and other must win games is suicide. At the very least the C must be taken from Matthews. He doesn't need an A either. He has zero emotion. Zero heart and doesn't hate losing. He is a me, me, me give me more money personal records player. He never has been or was a team player.

Followed Leafs since 1968. There were crappy teams in the early 70s, through the 80s, late 90s, 2005 to 2013/14 , but I’ve never seen a team that is as lazy or entitled as this bunch! At least those teams gave us an effort. This is unacceptable! Fans should stop going to the games and buying merch! Come on people!

We wont go far with AHL goaltending. Stole needs to get back to form, woll is not consistent.
A huge mistake was signing JT in the first place from the Islanders ….. a bigger mistake was re-signing JT this year. 3 more years of this guy paddling around the ice getting even slower every year of this ill-fated deal. I said it even with his fast start this year. He is a proven playoff loser.

Cowan looks like a little kid vs. men on the ice – 2 more years in the AHL may help him develop. Bringing him up was a panic move. Hope and pray.
Management has to openly declare no more full No move clauses – you're already giving them top $$ so tell them up front declare only 10 teams you will not go to. And that's restricted to the Top 6 players on the team. Enough is enough.
The consistency of this franchise is amazing
Rosey, try 75% Pelley who is auto-controlling this team makeup with Tre at the wheel. This team makeup is the worst in the NHL. Goaltending put together with duct tape, with one fluke year elevating them to elite status. Stolarz, old and a perennial backup, is brittle and injury prone. Woll also is injury prone. Defence is old, slow and can't play D – I exclude OEL as he has played elite even at his age and overuse. Forwards you need to build around Willy. He thrives under pressure even in the playoffs. Matthews just looking for the next $$ contract – for himself only not the team. He is leaving in 2 years – help him expedite the process.
Berube …. someone took an axe to his head and he's still going hard behind the bench. Can't blame him.
