There is a quote from a fantasy book by Phillip Pullman that really spoke to me as someone starting to experience and like a new way of being in the world.
'What will you do when you find this place in the desert, the opening to the world of roses? "
Defend it, Lyra said Die defending it.
So good having the cheese back
Let’s Go Cheese‼️
We’re with Ya👍
Great chat about a very important topic. Appreciate both you boys for helping to normalise talking about mental health.
Look forward to seeing the cheese have a good season this year.
good to see brandens growing up. footy players arnt role models.
Alcohol kills more people every year more than any other drug, it's crazy
Still love for you James… I love stuffin up… So you can fix it later
Great episode guys. Massive props to cheese for making this move and coming forward to speak on it
I miss Cheese. I’ll take him and his flaws over Charlie.
Proud of ya Cheese.
You sound clearer, and look younger. So good
Life changing podcast for me, thanks Cheese
about effing time my boy ❤ beautiful Korero my bruda can't wait to see you rip shit up, sober cheese is da best cheese🙏
What an absolute podcast! Great hearing from the cheese & his struggles! Massive ups 🤝🏽
At face value, you would think Brandon was a easily influenced, will of the wisp, no care taken, sort of a bloke. But watching the Bye Round last couple of years, you can tell he is highly intelligent, highly emotional, complex, and very tortured soul. I'm so happy he has found a great a place in his mind. He's a giver, and would be an amazing father. So happy he is at a good place. Love ya bro
I’m not buying it, go a few seasons without being a dishonest piss head druggo degenerate gambler.
One interview doesn’t change shit get some runs on the board.
Brandon, you said some of the others in the facility admired your chosen occupation. The majority of Australians will never see that kind of money. Ever. Count how many good years you have left – and a healthy lifestyle will definitely give you more, rather than fewer years. So that's another incentive to stay healthy – money. Find the best place to put your money and squirrel it away. Watch it grow. The US multi billionaire, Warren Buffet says the 8th wonder of the world is compound interest. Every time you don't spend money on drugs, on drink – transfer it across to your squirrel account. Don't be a miser. Be smarter.
Understandably, you were nervous today but if you want a long term position in serious media – check your grammar. Professionals help with Mental Fitness, with Long Term Saving plans and can help with grammar (even the internet). And that's another thing about your healthy lifestyle choice – you'll keep your looks for television. Put your moisturising oil on 90 seconds after getting out of the shower (Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair). I wish you incredibly well.
Hopefully see you back in the black jersey 💪🏼🖤🤍
The thing is, Brandon ran his mouth about others players doing this and that. You’re not in a position to speak on jack if you yourself is shady asf.
We're about to witness his greatest year of footy. He's going to run through blokes knowing he has a club and team behind him. Fucking great listen! Respect
100 days is huge. Well done Cheezel
Great stuff from Jim and Brandon recently. For a renowned party boy like Cheese to both get off the grog and be clearly in a better place, it gives a lot of hope to anyone struggling or thinking they need to change things up. Love the honesty and humility gents.
James & Cheese two of Rugby Leagues biggest personalities, will always be scrutinised about absolutely anything anyone can find, but they are humans beings, as a bunnies fan, i am very proud to hear the cheese going to rehab in the off season which for me shows a level of maturity and acceptance towards his wrong doing !! i went out to Heffron 2 weeks back and cheese was by a country mile best on ground! and his body shape has changed from the end of 25 szn to right now. i know he is in for a massive year, watch out nrl cheese will have a year to remember especially with the roster Wayne has.
0:05 shut up Jammer Nord sell your data, what a 🤡 🤦
Funny when a footballer tries to sell you the company line without knowing the first thing about tech 😂
Love hearing this, positive, encouraging, and honest.
Addiction to substances and objects can be hard to take ownership of. The effects it has on mental health and those close to us, is also difficult to overcome.
I’m 23 days sober brothers, keep going cheese there’s a lot of us men making changes this year, kia kaha brother🧀
Amazing turnaround Cheese, you're speaking fantastically well, look like a new man. I won't lie I didn't know you were capable of it, but long may it continue. Your entire life will improve and compound with positivity by staying sober. You can do it.
Gents don't discount the good you can do for the community just by playing great rugby league. I think you may not grasp the impact a win or a performance a supporter can be proud of from their team has. Andrew Denton said tongue-in-cheek after Souths 2014 drought breaking premiership when seeing the impact on the community, something along the lines of "….it"s not life of death, it's much more important than that".
Thankyou Cheese,
I believe you
All the best this season Cheese 👏
Cheese and Jimmy. Thank you. I hope you smash it this year Brendon. ❤️💚❤️💚 Rabbitohs fans have your back Cheese.
Cheese is a grub, gambling away his millions
Great work from all concerned, and all the very best Cheese.
Great work guys, keep your four pillars strong – exercise / diet / sleep / routine. Surround yourself with the right people who align with your goals.
When all is said and done, no one gives a shit about Brandon the party boy.
Your able to build a future forged in meaningful connection with the people who really matter.
How amazing is that!!
do you know they play rugby league in Sri Lanka – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnBPCW-A6J8
How about highlighting an everyday punter who has broken the cycle themselves without the dollars and options afforded sports players and celebrities. Someone who hasn’t gained notoriety, someone closer to home.
What a podcast, brilliantly refreshing to hear a guy wanting to turn his life around .
