    Matthews will never be the leader you need to win when it gets tough. So who are you going to go get to fill that role? And what do you have in the cupboard to go out and get it? The window has closed and now you have to ask yourselves, is Matthews prepared to stay with little to no chance at a chip, or is it time to ask him where he wants to go and build for the future…

    Colorado is a top-notch organization and look how they handled the reality that they weren't good enough with the top players(Nate/Makar/Mikko) they had, which were getting expensive. So, they didn't draw it out, they bit the bullet and moved Rantanen and got a solid return. Add in some additions of key players like Burns, Nelson etc…and whallah, a legit Cup contender — after recently winning it all. Toronto has horrible leadership and mark my words, Matthews will walk when his contract is up.

    I’ve always been a huge Nylander supporter. To me that was an FU to the fans. Look up what the Canadiens did after Guy Carbonneau did that to one photographer. 88 is done in Toronto.

    I predicted at the beginning of this final nine game stretch before the break that you’d go 3-6 and miss the playoffs as a result. You’ve lost four straight since. Gotta go 3-2 just to make my prediction. Yikes. 😬
