McKenna seems rather timid. It’s like a boy playing with men. The past 8 yrs it seems the draftees are younger. Takes more time for these kids to develop besides a few unicorns. Schaeffer has really surprised me. I thought he will be timid and take a few years to make the line up full time. The kid is solid
He going to be a bust and he wont go #1. His shot is weak, not super fast, small, timid, and he be like Lafreniere who had a good Juniors. What does he have? I watched him play college and he ok to good. His majority of goals were against Denmark which was a bit better then a beer league team
I don’t really remember Celebrini particularly wowing me his world juniors either. I wouldn’t put too much stock in it. Verhoeff didn’t get the same opportunity as McKenna. Stenberg has definitely looked most impressive of the big three. Other underaged from Sweden also looks very good

More People who don’t know what they are talking about. Just picked up his fourth point vs. Finland and going to finish first or second in scoring. Remember he just turned 18 couple a Couple weeks ago. He is elite and will be a 80-110 pt a year guy when he is in his prime. Think Jack Hughes type player.He is slight and needs to get stronger and whoever Drafts him would be foolish to not let him play NCAA next year.

How is Tynan Lawrence better than Gavin McKenna? What does he have in his resume to justify that claim. I think leaving red hot Bryce Pickford off the team was a bigger mistake.
The McKenna hate is crazy. He wasn't at his best and still made numerous plays no other player could even see let alone make. Was 2nd I'm the tournament in points as an underager. Ya maybe there were some low moments but he's 17. I hope and imagine this will fuel him to prove everyone wrong.

Wildly disappointed is an insanely dramatic point of view. Guy puts up 14pts as an undrafted prospect and you're wildly disappointed. You don't know puck if you watched McKenna play and came away that disappointed with his play
He was doing subtle things that are hard to understand fir some people. I saw some flashes of brilliance from him. He’s trying to ms my e the next play before the puck gets to him, and be where the play is going to be. He’s damn good, but yeah he needs to get a little more gritty
