He’s the captain Stuart Skinner needs. We only see a fraction of what goes on behind the scenes, but you can tell he’s there for his goalie the way a real leader should be. I love how Crosby looks out for Stuey — that steady, calming presence matters. Thanks, Cap.
There was a great moment after a whistle last night where momentum had Crosby and McDevid coasting shoulder to shoulder around behind the net. Neither looked at the other, despite being joined at the shoulder. It was a palpable moment of two talented captains wanting to best the other.
Penguins just looked happy and were enjoying playing last night. Seems like Oilers were thrown off with emotions of having Stu and Kulak back in the building. 🤷
Say what you will but they seem to be way more fluid and I attribute this to NOT being locked down on Sullivans one size fits all system, but rather playing to each others strengths.

I loved this game reminds me of 2017 playoff Penguins with the blocked shots and tight defense and the entire Team effort. 👍
Three consecutive goals scored by Pens in the first period put a dent on Oilers' team spirit and they went on to win.
6 goal game, with no player on the team scoring more than 2 points. Crosby and Malkin with 1 goal, and 1 assist each; they still got it!
This shows scoring depth, and a great team effort.
Good game now we don’t have to read how great Mc David is 😂
