So I’ve officially discussed this trade with my Bros, and I convinced them in less than 3 minutes that Drury has to do it. If Laf was not a first round pick and not making 7.5 per year, then we would understand that he needs a bit more developing. We all feel it’s time to move on from this bust.
Lafreniere for Wright , it’s definitely worth it ! Laff needs out , change of scenery. Wright fills a position of need for us , younger in the middle . Hopefully he would play to his potential. I’d like him at 2nd line center with Laba on 3rd line , youth moving forward !
Trading draft bust for dead wood will not move the dial for this team, put in freefall by management.
Notice that no aspect of the Rangers is now functioning.

You need to explain yourself with this how does trading a bust for a bust makes us better us bigger faster and grittier to play against. This is the type of bust that Drury will sign to a long term contract
LOL!!!! LaFreniere for Wright is the stupidest FN trade I have heard this year! But it's something Drury could do. Sullivan was going to provide the blueprint to unleash Laf. Actually he has done just the opposite. Keeps Laf on RW & plays him with Panarin. No change. Team got off to dreadful starts with Laviolette & same is true of the Sullivan crew. Sully starting to blame himself– good, because the Rangers are being overcoached & they play like robots. Shane Wright is definitely not the answer. He has underperformed from his projected #1 predraft ranking, no different from Laf. However, the difference in talent is immense! Kraken will pull of a major heist if they get Lafreniere for Wright. Silly season has started already!
Laf 7.6. Wright 900k . Rangers would need to take back a dead weight player/salary which makes zero sense. We have enough garbage salaries, they don’t need more .

God no to a bust for a bust. Out laf on lw finally see what he does on that side for the rest of the season. He needs to be told point blank, hey you need to show us you want to be here for the future.
Play him on pp1 and with trochek as his centerman, perrault or someone else on his rw as line 2.
Give him every chance to succeed, if he doesnt move him on off season.

TRading Laf for Shane Wright would be great for Laf. But if you think Shane Wright is going to find his game and become the player people thought he would be in NYR, you're falling victim to magical thinking. I hope Laf gets traded and becomes the player he should be while playing and winning for a serious and worthy hockey team.
What is Drury waiting for? So something already.
What I fear is Drury will make a bunch of shit trades , picks and signings, the team will suck again next season and then Dolan will find his balls and fire Drury. And the next GM will have a disaster to deal with
Fire drury. And get rid of dolan.
