  1. Why does Gary Weasel Face even bother pretending there is a salary cap? Vegas is now paying 117M dollars in salary this year… now.. while Piet is likely done permanently (so we wont even count him), if, tomorrow, their players on LTIR somehow heal their Stone, they are 9,684,932M OVER the cap… like… at this point, just admit the "hard cap" is a fucking failure and move to a luxury cap

  2. Give me a three way trade with The Hurricanes, Canucks, and Devils. The Hurricanes get Hamilton and Pettersson and like a Second. Devils get Sherwood, a first from Carolina, and a good prepsect from Carolina. Canucks get Kotkaniemi, a good prospect from Carolina and The Devils, a first from Carolina and The Devils.

  3. Anderson refused to sign with Boston and Calgary refused to let Vegas negotiate an extension . That fills like Calgary is salty about the return compared to Boston.

  4. The crazy thing is, out of all those picks they have traded away, only THREE of those players are in the NHL….

  5. So now they have three puck moving defenders of varying abilities, all lacking physicality, and defensive prowess. Seems like too much of the same thing.

  6. flames just beat Chicago and New York Islanders so no they did not just lose 3 in a row

  7. Flames fans see first overall picks dominating the league and this season we've been so close, but ownership are allergic to doing what it would take to compete.

Today is a good start, hopefully breaks the back of any playoff pipedreams. Now do Kadri and Coleman.

  8. Who cares? Vegas isn't a contender, and they've completely mortgaged their future. They'll be a playoff team for the next 3-4 years, but they're not making the finals again until they do a rebuild.

  9. Vegas has never needed picks. Whitecloud was their worst defenseman. Now they have another guy who scores and can play defense. Calgary will get young talent to waste.

  10. Funny how it's harder to get into the Wild Card spot than 3rd place in some divisions. Calgary still had a shot, being only 5 points away from a playoff spot. The East is so much more competitive than the West, and then Calgary trades with a conference opponent, that is a bit counter-intuitive, but hey, I'm not the planner for the Flames' future, so I wouldn't know

  11. 0:33 the logic is flawed because you are assuming that Vegas wins the Cup again in 2028 because the position of that 2028 pick isn’t decided until the end of the 27-28 season

  12. Crazy that the Golden Knights Luongo'd Pietrangelo and just got away with it. If Andersson signs an extension while the Golden Knights have a player sat for 24 months being paid 8.8M a year to stay at home I don't know how the league can justify not calling it circumvention and charging them a recapture fee.
