I'm done with Montembeault letting goals in within the first 3 minutes in the game. It's his trademark, seemingly.
The Habs did good today but seems to me that all goalies decide to have their best game against us. We need a bit more consistency and discipline to avoid penalties. Our powerplay is dreadful.

Zach Bolduc looks like he could potentially be the next Gallagher. I do not understand why Arber Xhekaj was not in vs. Buffalo, especially after his last one against Buffalo… How do those fucking stats work? Caufield and Suzuki got the two goals!!!! I don't trust it… We are not going to win the Cup no matter what we do this year. We do not need to trade the farm and end up like the Rangers for nothing.
Run Dobes for a few consecutive games
Drown Monty and Dobes in St. Laurent then Habs may win something otherwise you can kiss any dream goodbye.

Man they just keep losing the games they have to win. We wont make the playoffs if the consistency doesnt change. Other teams are able to string wins together, if this team wants to be competitive at all they have to win these games. Last buffalo game, Detroit game, now this buffalo game. You would think they'd have some confidence after beating the Wild for the first time since 2019 but I guess they just didnt have it tonight. PP was pretty bad too. It was concerning how much Buffalo just completely contained us and gave us trouble all game. Also they need to capitalize on some of the chances they get they had some really good looks and just hesitated or fanned on it. We also cant win if we keep giving up ehe first, second, third goal first. This is a huge problem they need to do better with scoring first. This team has expectations and losing these big games like this is gonna derail this team.
Trade for a new goally asap
Monty cost us the game. Seriously, 3 goals on 9 shots in the 1st. He's a back-up at best.
Robert Thomas is a centre and has a high contact; we don’t need him. We need either a true top line winger or a real goalie
After Struble’s last game…how on earth was he given this one? Why is he a regular on this lineup. What does St. Louis see in him?
I seriously miss Engstrom.
Why Struble? Why?
MSL lost that game he needs to stop with worthless Struble and putting Hutson on the right side. Hutson had his worse game I've seen just so Struble can play and handicap the team. MSL is a moron you have one of the best dman in the NHL stop putting him out of position just to accommodate ECHL Struble.
Last game Struble fell on his ass he can't skate he can't even accept a pass without fumbling the puck. He will continue to cost us games we were lucky to win the Minnesota game it was Struble that cost us that last Minnesota goal when he fell down and Hutson took a penalty to cover up Struble's mistakes. Just cut him don't even care if we get a pick he needs to get lost don't even want him taking a spot on Laval.
We seriously have a goalie problem Dobes and Monti are more of lucky goalies then actual great goalies . Patrick Roy as a great goalie from day one . He made spctacular saves every single game andf won us games . these goalies los us games
Xhekaj should have been in this game , it seems like our 3rd pairing should be guhle with the big hits and xhekaj as his enforcer and backup when things get feisty
Dach … there was a glimmer when he laid the hit, but from what I saw, it’s not his game , he was upset with the stick getting knocked out of his hands, otherwise he is just floating around , one of the goals against he didn’t fight to keep the puck in the offensive zone … I get Jesse point but the guy is fragile and it’s on his psych , and Suzuki and Caufield need muscle and bowling ball style play , I’d rather see Anderson , Bolduc seem promising but can disappear , Anderson doesn’t disappear
So I think 2C is not such a big deal , it’s finding that compliment to first line , or Slaf clone
Cs – Suzuki , Kapanenen , Danault , Evans (Veleno)
Top 6 wingers – slaf, caufield, Demidov, ? (texier)
Bottom 6 – Dach, Bolduc , Gallagher, Veleno
Rather see Dach eased back in , instead of straight to top line
Dach needs to go home. I’d Trade Dach for 5 more years of a Weber’s contract.
If you have the fast offensive leaning team. You MUST have a standout goaltender. The mediocre play this year from ours has convinced me that Monty has reached his ceiling. Or plat team defense first. They have a really good shutdown guy again. Danault is no slouch on D.
Does Dach really belong on the first line?
Dach didn’t play bad, give him a few games to get back in game shape, don’t forget he trucked Dahlin on the Caufield goal.

The Canadiens struggle and makes a lot of mistakes against teams that play a good defensive system. And these are the kind of teams that we'd face in the playoffs. Plus, we have a goalie issue. Definitely no cup this year. Not even close. So let's enjoy the great plays, and be patient while the team continues developing.

Hutson Struble sucked because Struble sucks. Needed Xhekaj in this game. But I have a feeling they are playing Struble to highlight him for a possible trade.
They aren't going to trade both Hage and Kapanen for Thomas. Never going to happen. And Zharovsky is a non starter.

As a Sabres fan, I was very happy to see Monty in net for the Habs tonight.
As Clint Eastwood said in probably his best western, "Deserves got nothin' to do with it."
Any trade or draft will not change the fact that getting a 4 minute penalty for getting punched in the face is fuckin ludicrous and down right corrupt. No matter what changes you make to your team, with refs like that, you're never gonna win a championship.
montreal should go after parenko and binnington
I will say he looks the best of anyone I've seen as potentially being able to come in and play for us. His contract and age seem like a fit for this team

Struble really gets down on himself when he makes mistakes and it seems to affect him negatively.
Here’s what’s real. This is a defensively flawed team. No balance between scoring and defense. The Sabres and Bruins will soon pass them in the standings.

Kapanen is a better second line centre than Thomas right now.
Hughes needs to find a strong defensive defenceman that MSL trusts.
Play goalies until they lose. Starting Monty was a big mistake. It is just poor management not to reward a winning goalie with the next non back to back start.
