Beds. Your power play sux. Your power play has never improved. In a decade… it has been the same. You're chuckling in your PG presser? Got news for you bub. Your AVs are gonna get smashed in the playoffs. The cavalier 'tude in the PG presser is going to chew you guys up and spit you guys out. Horrendous effort by most of the boys. Aside from the goalers who have been mostly awesome, Lecky is the only consistent AVs player. In case it didn't get thru… your PP is horrific and it will never get better unless and until you get a couple of players to counter balance Nate's low IQ play.
When is Bednar, Sakic and CMACK admit the PP sucks. For 2 damn years no improvement. Hakstol needs to be fired. Here are the totals since the beginning of the season. The Avs had 186 Power Play Opportunities. The Avs scored on 27 of them. That isn't improving. Not scoring on the PP is costing the Avs the game. I won't even include OT or Shootouts..
I will be bringing a poster at Friday's game to show the Avs players the totals, if someone doesn't tell Bednar and the coaches.
Wtf is up with Nate Dawg, Maker, Marty in OT/SO you'd think they'd win majority of 3v3s and do better 1v1 but they look like 3rd & 4th liners.
Coaching needs adjustments. Every team every night knows to attack the point when the Avs are in the O Zone. It's too predictable. Yes, we have dynamic D men and generate offense through the top of the zone. But it's been obvious to other teams where the puck is headed after entering the zone. Chips up the boards to the point are being intercepted, our point players are being aggressively attacked, and shots coming from the point are being blocked. It's even worse on the Power Play. With just one man at the point, opposing penalty killers are getting aggressive and there's not enough support.
Just my observations from this season. I wish they changed up the structure of their set up every so often to keep teams guessing.
Holy smokes, I've been a diehard Avs fan since they moved to Colorado, but a bunch of these fans here and elsewhere are starting to piss me off. Crashing out over a game that they lost because they got goalie'd? During a season where they are still on pace to smash the franchise record for points? Go the fuck outside and get some oxygen in your lungs.
Landy needs to come back and put a leash on his dawg. Mac is a different player when the captain is on the ice.
