The Kings need to rebuild (or “retool”) rather than trying to get into the playoffs, where they would be destroyed in the first round. They don’t have the heart to win and this whole season has proven that.
I'd love Vincent Trocheck on the Kings! Great player to have. I'll also pitch a name: Mason Marchment. He's a pretty solid player that we cannot trade for most likely, since he had been dealt already by Seattle, but as a UFA pickup, he could bring sneaky value on a short term deal

Any trade involving the kings 2026 1st round pick would be a mistake. This team is not going deep in the playoffs IF they weasel their way in. We have a chance to be a lottery team and possibly get a franchise player why give that up for a potential rental or an aging center that will leave us in the middle of the league for the two years and prolong this rebuild is beyond me.
Fine with trading for a player but use a 2027 1st if we do or the 2026 MUST be top 10 protected.
