The Rangers should only move their UFA's as they'll never get any value in return [because of their poor play] for anyone else. This year is 1975-76 all over again. At least that regime under John Ferguson filled the pantry with the talent that carried them to the finals in 1979 until Fred Schero 'screwed the pooch' with the Barry Beck trade.
Panarin, Soucy & Raddysh are guys that should be dealt for sure. Vaak & Sheary won't bring back anything at all. Drury may trade Othmann & Berard. The "retool" is nothing more than mythology.

I have zero faith that those who crashed and destroyed the truck can competently rebuild…er…retool it.
The team, stripped of morale, is clearly in freefall mode.
The problem is that the players that would bring the most trade return – are also the best to keep.
As for Igor… if you keep him, protect him on ice. Game after game our goalies get run + zero retaliation.
This is all hearsay, until the trades happen. Will they happen, absolutely. Who should go? That should not matter UNTIL you get rid of the GM AND the current coaching staff. Its quite obvious that Drury is incompetent, AND Sullivan's system is NOT WORKING. Let them all go.
As far as players go, Panarin, Mika, Soucy, laffy, are all probable gone, or should be. Unfortunately we are STUCK with the one guy who is a cancer in the locker room. Unfortunately again Drury had no balls, and named him captain. The guy shouldn't be captain on a pee wwe team. He HAS to take blame for this clustercrap performance all season. Hes NOT a leader.
Trocheck was the obvious choice.
I feel bad for shesty and fox who, unfortunately for them, are stuck in this abysmal mess.

Lots of holes to fill. It's more obvious every game that they need to get puck moving D men. Can't shoot the puck if you can't get through the neutral zone. Going to be a long 30+ games to end the season.
