As a Habs fan, I was cheering for a Leafs win tonight to keep Detroit close and put pressure on Boston and Buffalo

Season series: Red Wings 8 out of a possible 8 points….Leafs only 2….which will factor big at the end of the year when they miss the playoffs by 2 or 3 or 4 points.

The Leaf fans still have to wonder why the players can't seem to get up for their games. I mean really get up for them. The Red Wings tying goal was classic, smart and slick hockey. It embarrassed the awful and sleepy defense that lately, don't seem to know sh_t from Shinola. They looked confused as to who they should cover and by the time they make a decision, it's too late. What happens next? Either you will see some sort of epiphany come over them or you will see more of the same brand of "Honey, where did you put my golf clubs?" kind of hockey. As for the moot point of Marner, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that ol' Steve was one of the many TRADE MARNER!!! enthusiasts which I said was a big, big mistake. In the end this is going to come down to the players now and just how much they want to win. I mean I think they want to win but do they WANT TO WIN?!!!!

The Leafs just need to focus on a wild card spot. If someone in the top 3 in the division falls apart and you catch them great but the focus at the moment can not be the top teams in the division. Just get above the line first, that has to be the focus.
