  1. The stars are a really complex situation right now like many people have said it appears gulutzans system isn't clicking this roster has what it takes to get it done but they're not doing give and go plays and totally overwhelming the defense with tic tac toe plays etc. but I do think they can for sure bounce back come playoff time it's worth noting though that Casey desmith has been fantastic given the circumstances along with rantanen but other than that injuries and flat offense has really been the killer in my opinion

  2. Harley and duchene injuries are weird because they both have been healthy for a while but they still haven't gotten back to their level

  3. THG. Heated Rivalry has given hockey a rare and huge moment in the sun. Would love to see some acknowledgment, if not a dedicated video celebrating it and sharing why it's important. I understand you not mentioning politics and so on, but this is hockey – It doesn't get more hockey than this.

  4. This struggle isn't recent. It looks like they got lots of wins and were chasing down Colorado, but we've noticed most of our wins were very slim at best. It's all catching up to us now and with Robo changing agents, it could be the sign of us losing our best players if they don't sense the ship being righted anytime soon.

  5. I’m a Stars Fan , but I can’t believe they signed Duchene for 4.5 million for4 years at 35 years old . Also they signed Benn for a year ? There stuck 😂😂😂😂

  6. 11:05 – "They're a team that has a good record, but how good is the team really?"

So much fraud you'd think they're still in Minnesota…

  7. Dallas has had depth problems for a long time, but it stems from a fake star problem. Seguin t was signed to a ridiculous contract that paid WAY more than he was worth and the same goes for Jamie Benn. Neither of these guys were $10 million players at their absolute best and they haven't been at their best for the last decade.

Seguin has ONE job, which is to score goals. Every other aspect of his game is only adequate, except you know what? His goal scoring ability is also merely adequate. ONCE in his entire career has Seguin had 82 points, and only 5 times has he had 30+ goals (with a single season of exactly 40 goals).

Benn plays far better defense, although he's dirty as hell, and offensively his production is basically identical to Seguin's. If you dig deeper through the roster, you find a pattern of paying "top 6" tier guys like they're super stars, and look at their salary cap situation. Dallas over the last 15 years has routinely signed contracts with guys who can't even produce at a point per game, and treated them like franchise players they can't afford to lose. Point-per-game players abound in the NHL, and guys who can't even hit that mark should not be signing some of the most lucrative contracts in the league. In 2019, Seguin signed a contract that paid him more than Alexander Ovechkin, who boasts roughly twice as many goals per game.

The stars need more stars, yes, but it's because they don't know what a superstar player is. They thought Seguin and Benn were franchise players, but they were never above the playing level of first line role players other teams would put together with a proper superstar talent.

  8. They should trade for any of Kadri/Coleman/Whitecloud from the flames. Flames will definitely do some retention from their salaries if given a fair deal in return.

  9. Some athletes want to be celebrities more than they want to be champions.

Something's changed within the Stars: they aren't hungry for the Cup, like their playoffs opponents, the Avs and the Oilers. Florida set the bar for the Stanley Cup last year, and all I see are guys whose wives are making summer plans, as opposed to the single focus to bring Lord Stanley to Dallas.

  10. We need better defenseman more that we need a forward it’s been the same way the past three season offense is good defense looks like Swiss cheese at times

  11. They need one good top 4 dman if they cant get that then get a top 6 forward rental. last night they finally started putting pucks to the net and were rewarded

  12. Left handed here, never been able to write as well as you do on a dry erase board. Always end up smudging it as I go along. Go Avs!

  13. They need better right handed defenseman. They might have a couple scoring slumps in the regular season but scoring is not the reason they haven’t been able to win the past couple years. Their right side of their defense is dog shit their GM has done nothing to address it he’s actively hurt them on that side by bringing in Dumbo Lyubushkin whenever that was

  14. As an Avs fan, I’m happy to see that there is doubt in the stars strength. Don’t want to face them again in the playoffs

  15. I got a feeling many players now is taking it easy, becuse of the olympics, and it shows in some teams a lot, like whit Dallas, considering every Finnish player there is up for the olympics, and some of if not all realy do want to play there, so it may even be they do not take risks now, and that for their playing is lower also now, there is other teams that has the similar problems, heck even the avalance is not as good for the moment.

  16. We can't fix this team. We have lost too many good players and we have too many contracts that are too big.
