Coach McDermott should have been kept on. Beane refused to get the pieces we have needed. Beane should have been fired. I donāt feel the same way about the Bills today. Iāve been a die hard fan since 1977. Josh has to put himself on the line every weekend when he shouldnāt have to. This was a complete farce. I donāt know if I will follow the Bills any longer until they fire Beane.
Who cares? Thank the universe he's FINALLY gone. Best news I've had. Took me right out of my ANNUAL post-playoff choke depression. š
This is NOT a defense of Brandon Beane (the Buffalo Bills new President of Football Operations/General Manager), but anyone claiming our roster wasnāt āgood enoughā to make it to the super bowl needs to get their heads examined. We won 12 games with that roster. We won the Wild Card game against Jacksonville with that roster. We put up 30 in the Divisional Game with that roster and may have been robbed to lose that one. We obviously did NOT need an āelite WRā to get that far. What we needed, what weāve needed since McDermott became the head coach, is a fān DEFENSE that could keep teams from outscoring us. Giving up 31.5 points a playoff loss is NOT a good defense. McDermott is a nice guy, Iām sure. Give him a Nobel Peace Prize if you want. Give us a disciplinarian head coach who demands a good defense and reteaches Josh Allen on how to run with a football AND that hero ball is great for statistics and highlight reels and statistics and highlight reels are for losers. We want a ring. FULL STOP, MFāers. š GO BILLS! Regarding Beane ā¦ fans blame him for the Coleman pick and forget he also chose James Cook AND Josh Allen. FACTS. McDermott getting fired was the best news for my ANNUAL Post-Playoff choke depression. FACT.

I think the Bills are cooked. What you have here is a prime example of front office politics mixed with incompetence. Management has done nothing to help Josh Allen like surrounding him with a tier 1 receiving corps or strong offensive line. I predict that in 1 or two years Josh Allen will be snatched up by another team that will buy out his contract. Unless something changes I think you are going to see another 20-year drought like you had through the late 90's and early 2000's.

No, Beane's drafting and player roster has been horrible. The talent alone has been dreadful. Every week, the Bills coaches had to overcome the roster weaknesses and out coach the opposition.
Petulant did this same thing to the Sabres and they stayed in the basement. For years. This move looks like Pegula just tanked the Bills.
I would release all WR's except Shakir, release many DB's and D-line to get younger, healthier players, keep Dawkins and Brown, but think hard about who else is really ready to compete. McDermort was coaching up some over the hill players and others lacking depth.
