  1. Interesting slant on Zegras and the center spot. I just can't see him as a top 6 NHL center.

    First, he is most likely 5'11" and naybe 175 pounds. Zegras is a guy who has a very slight build. And he is a 24yo. Celebrini (for example) looks to be bigger than Zegras already and he is 4 years younger. He is still filling out.

    And then we come to the main reason that Trevor isn't a center….a top line center on a good team must be a dedicated backchecker. Trevor's game is offense so let him be offensive. He can handle the defensive responsibilities of being a winger. Forcing him to be a 200 foot center will just lessen his scoring punch power.

    And this team needs all of the goals that it can get.
