  1. We could have used with a Morgan Reilly dad bod belly save. Yes he does that out of desperation because he's out of position but I do like seeing him do it.

  2. To be fair, with the Friday game, there is a non-zero chance Stolie starts that one – He was just sent to the Marlies for a conditioning stint

  3. First 5 min at the start of the game looked amazing, but completely fell flat after Benoits penalty. 3rd period looked great, bit too late. Also, why did Berube pull goalie for 6 on 5? Forget it , bad move.

  4. I have to admit, I was one of those fans that turned it off – I used to watch every last minute of every game my entire life, but at my age now(55yrs), I refuse to give what remaining time I have on this earth to games that have lack of effort/execution/passion etc – Although, I thought the effort was there at times last night, they were a disaster on D (Rielly has become the new Phaneuf), I didn’t think Woll was as sharp, and some of the forwards were apparently still being affected by the high altitude from the recent road trip – They need to play .606 (20-13) hockey to have any hope of making the playoffs, (assuming 95pts gets them in), so there’s just no room to let other teams walk into your barn and outshoot you 20-8 in a period like they did in the 2nd period – I still “beLeaf”, but the “fat lady” is definitely warming up her voice 😬

  5. So many years wasted on this team and it's stars. Full rebuild, this team doesnt have it. We all knew they'd string together wins a couple times in the season but stop with the delusion and delaying the inevitable.

  6. I’ll be frank, I’m not a fan of Berube coaching. The Leafs will continue to be inconsistent until all new coaching staff is employed.

  7. Now I know that I’m a hardcore fan because I’ve spent my humble hundreds and something dollars to watch this in Scotiabank Arena yesterday and bcz It’s my hard work earned money I stood until the final whistle. I can say that after the end of the 2nd intermission the ppl started to leave and a lot of seats, even the ones close to the ice, got empty. Well, at least I had some fun but not as many as if I watched a win. Thanks for expressing the fans emotion. Felt exactly like you during 2nd intermission btw 😂

  8. I hate that I'm saying this because I've tried to defend the Leafs so much since I began watching on a consistent basis since the 2011-12 season: You're better off being a Sceptres fan than a Leafs fan when it comes to professional hockey in Toronto. The Sceptres may not be doing well (4-1-3-5 over 13 games this season) but they are far more entertaining right now. And when it comes to pro sports in general in Toronto? You're better off being an Argos fan because they're the only major pro sports team based in Toronto that is consistently winning.

The Marlies haven't won the Calder Cup since 2018, Toronto FC haven't won the MLS Cup since 2017, the Raptors haven't won the Larry O'Brien championship since 2019, the Blue Jays haven't won the World Series since 1993, and the Leafs haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1967.

The Argos, who are the OLDEST pro sports team in North America that still uses their original name, have won 19 Grey Cups. 4 of them have come in the time I've been a Leafs fan, with 2 of them occurring within 3 years (2022 and 2024). The Argos are 44 years older than the Leafs and have 6 more championships. And I don't even know the first thing about football.

  9. This is one of the only games I’m going to in person .. wasted money lol oh well Hughes looked good 😩

  10. I cant calculate the number of hours I have lost watching leaf games like this one in 44 years of being a die hard fan. Probably could have passed the bar in law school with the amount of wasted hours lol

  11. It's the law of average. The peak after the firing is always temporary. At some point the law of average will catch up and the losses will come naturally

  12. Regarding the boo hoo about the schedule. Montreal has the most back to back games out of everyone in the league, no excuses.

  13. The goalie should almost never be expected to make a save on a breakaway. Idc what the circumstances are, you can’t let someone come in on your goalie on their own and then when they score blame the goalie

  14. Hi Steve, I had A Terrible Bad Day Last Night!!!! The Leafs Lost Because I Was Tired, Exhausted And Angry!!!! Now I’m Mad Because They Lose Of Me!!!!

  15. Leaf's needed to bank points in Oct and Nov when they had an easy schedule filled with lots of home games – no sympathy at all for them now

  16. If a Leaf goalie did what Bob did last night, he would have been automatically kicked out of the game and likely facing a $5000 fine for "unsportsmanlike conduct" today. If a Leaf threw a hit like Rodrigues did from behind and after the whistle it would be an automatic 3 game suspension. The way Florida just gets away with everything is asinine.

Leafs have been the most suspended team by the way since like 2019 or something too, yet they never have been known for being an aggressive or rough, or hard to play against team, so figure that one out.

  17. Leaf fans need to come to Grips with this: 1) The entire Front Office of your Rebuild has been blown up and shattered as a FAILURE ( from Babcock to Keefe to Dubious Duba to Shanaplan— it is over… it is done — Players that are good are gone Kadri , Hyman and the enigmatic Marner. 2) Players that were once effective are in full decline— Reilly and Mathews and Nylander ( the years when Mathews and Nylander were younger and injury free are replaced with new and nagging injuries.

This iteration of the Leafs called the Shanaplan / Mathews era is on life support in its death throws.

The team is now slow and old and injury prone — Tanev, Stolly, Carlo

Leafs are better off FADING this year— Keeping the Boston pick and hope they can retool.

Detroit Montreal Buffalo and even Ottawa are on the rise….. New powers rising and old ones fading

  18. Tell them to keep being aggressive on the P.K. instead of timid puck watching. It usually ends up in the net while they watch.

  19. As a Habs fan, I do enjoy you're energy in bringing Leafs fans expectations to a standstill from their lofty annual Stanley Cup ambitions. Keep up the good work!
