Been saying this ever since he was getting blamed. I don’t think it’s fair to point out the guy who’s getting paid the most on the team when your team is losing it’s a team sport.
A combined 20 million for Pete and Brock this year (18 goals). A combined 4 million for Kiefer and Drew this year (27 goals). Pretty simple math to understand the bang for your buck.
I have been saying the fans in this market don't understand the game the way they think they do you said it right petey needs a good winger not named kane or debrusk I like garland and Karlsson on his line I think those 2 would unlock petey's game. Just saying. It is not all on petey it take the entire team to be this fing bad.
My God you guys some of you guys just will not stop with this rebuilding hot button word. And there’s always this thing about ownership interference, where the managers are stated over and over again there’s none of that happening, but still here we are talking about it again.
Pete is clearly the best player on the team in every aspect. Pete has gotten a lot of crap because the team is not well structured and the players are underperforming. It takes maturity to accept something like this but Pete knows the situation. He is a professional.
It's not all on him but he's just not a good player. he should be getting $4mil, average player at best. You are lying to yourself if you say otherwise. He is the albatross that will pull them down for as long as we have him.

Petterson isn't a Horvat, isn't a Reinhart, isn't a bennet, isn't a Nueg. 11M is a lot for someone who stands out less than Nurse.
Pettersson is by far this team's worst problem. Massive contract, minimal production, he is invisible most of the time, and he is a massive salary cap problem.
THANK YOU!!! The Petey hate has reached ridiculous levels. I’m not saying Petey doesn’t need to be better or absolving him of all fault, but the degree to which people hate on Petey is absolutely ridiculous. I honestly believe Tocchet did serious damage to Petey. He’s still trying to work out of that. Plus, he’s had injuries and personal issues. That elite player is still in there somewhere. I truly believe that.
