  1. Faceoffs is the pain point for the team, I love seeing the grit come in this year , as Shannon mentioned Shot Suppression has improved tremendously and that means Vasy/Jojo don’t have to work as hard . Which means playoff Vasy can activate

I think our Rookie Defenders will get us to the playoffs and then it’ll be the vets ( Heddy / Mac) that will help steer the ship through playoff hardships. A lot to be excited about. It’s a testament to our front office and Cooper building this and maintaining it for so long.

Im going to enjoy every second of our golden age while we’re living in it .

  2. Crazy how the season is just over half over, and there have been four separate 10-game winning streaks. Colorado, Buffalo, Colorado (again), and now Tampa Bay.

  3. So I wonder, what’s gone differently for them this season than in previous seasons, at least in the regular season? Is it different personnel, the personnel they had last season taking a step up? It’s so weird, because the D-core has been horribly banged up, yet is doing amazing still, and they had that slow start

  4. Interesting. I would generally not think a streaky and wildly inconsistent team would be thought of as Cup contenders.
Playoff contenders, sure, but not more. Inconsistency will usually kill a playoff run.
Maybe they will prove me wrong.

  5. A few things I’ve noticed. Tampa isn’t just a speed and skill team this year, you want a gritty 70’s style game? We got guys for that. Also kucherov being close to a contract talk, I can see kucherov being somewhat loyal to Tampa. He came to Tampa because they agreed to pay for a (if I remember correctly) shoulder surgery.

  6. I had 3 ten game winning streak videos for the season on the THG bett app ..think I won 1.50 😂😂….didn't have Buffalo….lol

  7. Tampba did this without Hedman for a majority of the season , who has missed 26-44 games and their best defensive D, Mcdonough, who has also missed 26-44 games…

  8. Very impressive team. Hoping Sharks can give them a better game on the 20th than the recent game in San Jose

  9. They are struggling against Pittsburgh right now, the loss of Point turned out to be critical, the victory over Flyers was pyrrhic.

  10. I noticed how you said that Tampa started 1-4-2, and then later they lost 7 of 9. It's obvious why you didn't state how many of their first 7 games they lost. You'd be encroaching on The Entertainment Guy if you were that clever.

  11. I only looked at the title, so don't off me, but they've been looking like cup contenders since they kicked it into gear after several losses at the beginning of the season.

  12. The most impressive thing about the Lightning's season so far is their road record. After winning in Pittsburgh to extend the streak to 11 games, their road record is 17-4-3. Take out the first road trip where they went 1-1-2, and the road record since Oct 19 is a stunning 16-3-1. That's an 0.825 points percentage ON THE ROAD!!!

  13. Loved the video. It would be an interesting point too to bring up Cirelli and Moser's +/-

  14. Regular season overachievers just like most of that division. It would be funny though if Florida keeps playing like they don’t care anymore and Tampa somehow has the state of Florida representing in a yet another Stanley Cup finals

  15. Just love this team and the culture in a room, playing for one another, can't ask much more.

  16. Just wanna correct you on the Kings game. They didn’t pull way in the third per se. they gave up an early goal in the 3rd and trailed with about 3+ minutes left then scored twice within 2 minutes to take the lead late and got an ENG to put it on ice. Not trynna discredit your efforts as you cover the entire league and I enjoy watching your videos.

  17. I miss Blake Coleman. I miss ondrej palat. I miss Ross Colton. I miss David savard. I miss Luke schenn. I miss Alex Killorn. I miss Barclay goodrow. I miss Steven stamkos.

  18. Bjorkstrand hasn’t worked with Tampa. They’ve tried putting him in positions to succeed but it’s not there with Tampa. I’d love to see Tampa put a deal together for Coleman or Sherwood. Bjorkstrand and a 28 1st rounder should get it done.

  19. I’m really curious what happens with this upcoming offseason. The emergence of raddysh, das and moser have given Tampa a plethora of dmen. McDonough, hedman and cernak are getting older. These young kids are going to push one or two of these guys out. Does briseboi pull a major move and bring in another center who can win a face off?. That’s one of tampas biggest weaknesses this year. They don’t have anyone capable of winning draws

  20. If FL makes it into the playoffs with everyone back except Barkov of course. I don’t believe TB can beat them 4 out of 7 , it would definitely go 6 or 7 but I doubt it. Kutcherov has been virtually invisible when he plays FL in the playoffs,so has Hagel.

  21. Here’s hoping panthers make the wildcard and kill the lightning in the first round like they have for last couple of years.

  22. That was a brutal road trip for the Avs, Carolina, then travel the next morning for the Panthers, puck drop like 18 hours after the last game ended. Then Tampa

  23. The story of Tampa: Have a awsome regular season and hype is throught the roof. Their game is rolling foward at the speed of lightning and the individuals are confidend that this year they clean up the table and win the cup. The best coach in the world, Cooper, has made multiple game plans so they can beat anyone… Both goalies are healthy and they both are nominated for Vezina. Also the whole team is healthy and rested thanks to coach's playing adaptation. On the first round of the playoffs they get to play against Panthers who have strugled a lot and have many players playing with crippling injuries. This is the year of the Tampa to win again and reclaim the dynasty.

Outcome: lost to the Panthers in 5 games at the first round…

  24. Tbh, losing headman was a good thing for us. He has slowed down a lot in the past few years and it just game more ice for moser and raddysh to sign. In the past headman was the best of both of these guys in one, but hes not there now and I'd much rather have a deep blue line than a one man show. At this point if everyones healthy, Moser, Raddysh, McDoughna, Headman, Cernak on the 3rd pairing (where he belongs) that HAS to be the best d line up in the league

  25. This video didn't show up on my feed til today, five days after it was posted… but on the Wings feed today, the infographic that showed up said the Lightning has ten players on Olympic rosters. Additionally, they'll have a very busy schedule post-Olympics, down the stretch. They're a good team, absolutely, but with so many Olympians on the roster, that team might be gassed going down the stretch.
