Simon is better than 45 points. He will pop off soon. If he were in the top 6 he would be doing better. Let’s hold on to our 50 point player for now. He plays great defense and his offensive game will pop off.
Holmstrom is very easy to see where the fix is needed, it is very simple , Look at His game logs, He has this Year replicated His career shot % Around 25% which is ELITE , the 2 week span He scored no points half of those games he had NO shots, Several others only 1 shot, He has 12 Goals on 50 shots, Now take into account the fact He is one of the Isles best defensive forwards and the fix is easy, More Minutes and on the 1st or 2nd line with the Coaching staff pounding it into His brain to shoot the puck , You also add the benefit of having Him on the ice more against opposing teams top lines with increased shifts to lock down on the defensive side. Holmstrom is a very skilled 2 way Player who needs 1 thing Coached into Him , Aggression .
Holmstrom usually isn't on a scoring line. He on a defensive line shutting down opponents' top lines. We won't see what he can do until he's a regular on 1 or 2.
I like the beauvillier comparison, but it feels more like the early Brock Nelson years. I’ll take beauvilier with a better defensive game. Check me please.
There is no way i even think about moving Simon unless its for an elite scorer. Not everyone has to put up tons of points. He is by far our best defensive forward and forechecker. You have to have guys like him on the roster. A third liner who get 45 points with all his intangibles, sign him as part of the future

He’s also needed for the shootout. Besides Horvat and Heineman, we don’t have anyone else who is money Until Schaefer starts getting his chances ..
