  1. What a game! I could feel the crowd from home lol. Great win by Sabres, Awesome seeing all the guys from the 05-06 team

  2. I remember first time I saw Vanek play for Amerks, I was shocked how lazy he was. Dude was so lazy but could score 40 goals not breaking a sweat

  3. It was a great night all around. But someone in the gameday experience dept needs to be fired. They went the entire night without playing Better Days!

  4. Why wasn't Adam Mair there?

Sometimes I think Malenstyn brings something similar to this team to what Mair brought to that one.

  5. I just love that these guys that have been here for awhile like TT, Dahlin, UPL, Samuelson … they finally get to hear how the arena can erupt and get behind the Sabres.

  6. I believe the 05-06 winning streak started on a West Coast road trip. This year the streak started on a West Coast road trip. Trippy

  7. Great game, and I will be disappointed if they don't make the playoffs this year, but don't even think about bringing the goat-head back full time! Ugh.

  8. Stop with the jersey change talk. We are a blue and gold franchise and theirs too many teams wearing black regulars as is. Just keep them as a third.

  9. If they could clean up the turnovers and giveaways, they could be a deep run contender in the playoffs.

  10. Tage is starting to fully internalize his capacity for dominance as playmaker as well as sniper. Add his new found physicality and you have an all around superstar

  11. Jarmo made his first move. This is it. Support the Head Coach & Locker Room. Adams' team has a new steward going forward.

  12. caller who saw the first team in Sabres history, like me (65 yrs old) knows special stuff is unfolding. Great event last night. The power of Team History is fully present in Buffalo.

  13. What was great last night was the building was loud for the current product on the ice. The 05 team was a bonus.

  14. I love a “wild man” goalie prospect. Remember the young Dominator throwing himself at skaters mid-ice?

Also, why did it take the organization so long to realize they needed some “energy” players? Doan & Benson have been revelations!

  15. McLeod and his brothers are absolute gamers. They are extremely good in high stress situations.

  16. Ellis reminds me of an early Hasek, who scrambled yet would frustrate the opposing shooters. Oh, right, that was the previous cup run. lol

  17. On another note, first Sabres’ game I ever went to was when they got 11 goals versus LA Kings. Didn’t Pominville go through waivers just before recall? Well, he was one of 2 players with hat trick that night. No more waivers after that. Lol

  18. I don't think Jarmo should make any moves at this point. There seems to be too much chemistry, love among players, and everyone seems to have bought in and plays their tails off. How do you mess with that? When Owen Parker said that this team now would've been 2nd in the division at this point last year, that's a heck of a data point. For some reason, the stars aligned the entire eastern conference is a gauntlet. But if we were 2nd in the division, no one would be saying we need to make moves. If a hypothetical move occurred, I'm not sure who gets brought in? A more complete winger for Tage & Doan, to replace Krebs? I like Ostlund-Norris-Tuch (assuming Norris only misses a small amount of time) and Benson-McLeod-Quinn is a solid 3rd line who sucks to play against.

  19. i did think today "Kulich and Ostlund are 21, Benson is 20, Helenius will have a crack at the roster in October for his age 20 season," this team has a bright, bright future and they're good right now too.
