This is rare, early footage from 1998 featuring Chad Reed at just 16 years old, riding at a secret location in New South Wales, Australia โ alongside Craig Anderson. We spent most weekdays out here cutting laps. This day I swapped my bike for a borrowed video camera.
Long before Supercross championships and international fame, this video captures the raw speed, style, and intensity that made Chad Reed one of the greatest motocross and supercross riders of all time.

Racing is for cashed up people .its pritty expensive and it takes dedicated parents to take you to the track everyweek . There are Plenty of good riders that have never raced .me l worked full time at 16 .at 17 l paid for my own yz400f in 1980 it was riden much .l bought it of a guy who was not an experienced rider. Lucky me bike was like new.
There was greatness even before this video… we were all riding at Awaba a few years before this video when we would be clearing some 40+ foot table tops and Chad would jump over the top of you when you were in the air…on a bike half your size! The Boolaroo Suzuki dealership proudly sponsored and displayed Chads trophies in the front window of the shop in the very earlier years as they knew and we knew he was to become a world super star!

I first met Chad at a race in Florida in 2003. We got to talking about training and life here in the USA. We went for a walk, held hands and watched the sunset Chad is an amzing guy and I will never forget that day.
'98 RM 250 I had mine dialed in motor,a couple different pipes depending on conditions,entirely aftermarket clutch, basket,hub, pressure plate, Barnett clutch kit. suspension( stiffer springs) and chassis with a taller seat and aftermarket triple clamp twin wall bars.l think I pulled more holeshots that year then any other year. Was my first year on a Suzuki after more than a decade of racing Kawasaki's since my mini days
Miss my 97 RM 125. Great bike.
sitting and missing my RM 250z 1982. Even though it was in 1989 you remember it like yesterday, but that year was one of the strongest Suzuki made, more horses and the cool full floater. water cooled and double air filter

Only ONE with the empty tomb and that same ONE that ultimately states entry into heaven is not achieved through your own works though levels/treasures are mentioned ๐๐.
