The top line on the ice for the game winner as they didn't hustle and track back on defense…please emphasize that…2nd line scored only goal, and if Kindle stops trying to be too cute with the puck, their chances will go up… Hayes, just no need for him to be out there whatsoever…disappointed in that coaching decision
I dont think having Rust in there would have mattered in this game. The Pens always struggle vs teams like calgary. You know, the lesser skilled, big, hard hitting, chippy types.
As soon as I saw the line I knew it was trouble. Graves was terrible finally sent him down. I’ve been saying that Novak is not good. He has occasional points because of the players around him certainly not because of anything he does. Hayes is not as bad as graves but simply isn’t good enough. So two lines were not good today which makes it harder on the other lines to be good. Novak and Hayes are the next weeakest links.
Pens seem to have a real problem with the Canadian teams..very interesting. So if the Flames were tight on the blue line, why didn’t the coaching staff come up with a solution?! They failed.
They should have not messed with the Novak line. Hayes should’ve been on line one and not centering line three. For the first time in years we have effective 3rd and 4th lines, don’t touch or play with these two lines.

Kevin Hayes is beyond trash. Muse and dubas are not playing the best players – that would be cutting Hayes and calling up Broz.

They stood em up and slowed em down. And the dump and chase did not go well. First game I can remember that Lizotte looked his actual size.

Shitlovs and Hayes is what went wrong. If they roll with same lines, they will get dominated.
