OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens, and the Washington Capitals.. The Caps stormed back to win this one in overtime.. In an impressive victory, and even though I’m happy with the point.. I’m a little annoyed with Lane Hutson’s powerplay deployment over the past couple of games. Lets break this one down!

Credit to the Caps they worked hard and battled back..I'm not saying Lane Hutson on PP1 would've made a difference, but it just seems like the overall correct decision.
Cheers and thanks for watching.
THIS TEAM IS SHIT
Is Hutson nursing an injury??
Dobson on the PP because they want a powerful righty one-timer.
Why are they doing what? Playing hot goalies? Lol
Thx for sharing
Not only did Hutson was missing from the power play, but for some odd reason Marty put Bolduc and Gallagher on the ice for those 3rd period power plays. I don't get it.
Not only did the boys get in at 3 AM before that game, and that it was the second game of a back to back, but it was also the fifth game at seven nights, which is absolutely Ludacris! Lol the boys are on fire and they’re doing this proud
Arber getting the 10 twice in a few games pisses me off more than a rubber after drinking 1 gallon or cranberry juice.
Here's my theory. A few days ago, the Habs had an optional on-ice practice. However, they specifically did not allow Hutson to attend this practice. The guy's a Hockeyholic, never can get enough. However, a sudden change in the lineup and lower ice time, I suspect he's hiding a playable injury… They seem to be micro managing his ice time right now, and it can't be because of his performances.. that's just my guess..
I understand taking demi off. Hes been hesitant, flubbing shots and making way to many hope passes that put guys into bad spots. But hes a rookie and hes gonna get past it.
I cannot stand when they do this shit to hutson though. Hes the catalyst on this team. He is the engine and can singlhandedly create more time and space then anyone. I hate when they play these games with him.
The third period did take forever. Monty played a fantastic game. Too many posts. Habs were unlucky.
suzuki tryin to win oscar for that jumping out of hes skates? what a shame for a captain … time to pass C to slaf
Agree about Hutson! And, like you, I love Gallagher — the guy is made of heart, sandpaper and old boot leather — but he's nowhere near power play material anymore. It's just the circle of life. He's leadership material for the younger lads now. I can't help noticing that he seems to have lost a step this season. I mean, who could blame him? His style of play during his career is very, very hard on the body. As my physiotherapist told me when I was rehabbing from ACL surgery years ago when I was 32: "Sorry, man. The warranty is up at 30 for most of us." That didn't feel good to hear, but life unsurprisingly didn't particularly care about my feelings on the matter.
I feel like that game was very basic not to many mistakes just unfortunate that Washington was able to tied it but at least they got a point and the red wings lost so is anybody's game on who is going to lead the division
I love the Habs more than anything but man I do not like what they are always doing with the Defense.
Should we be worried about the Carrier slump ?
I don't understand why the guy who slashed and broke Danault's stick in the OT faceoff didn't get called for it.
My TOTs are…When Laine comes back and we can put him on PP2, we don't want to take Demidov and/or Hutson off PP1. When Laine is on PP2, then we need a playmaker to feed him. It seems like Demidov would be the ideal in that role, and have Dobson be PP2 D.
The Habs let off the gas and the Caps took advantage. I was actually a bit disappointed with Suzuki’s game last night (still working out some of the decisions he was making). In your words, Junkie, “at least we got a point”.
No Hutson on no. 1 PP and no Demidov in OT? Don't get either one…
Tird period felt like 4 hours!!
They need Gally on the power play to boost his stats, to potentially TRADE him at the deadline.
St. Louis needs to go
"should be locked up in area 51"
beautiful.
Said it on another page but will say it here: the cardiac kids got out-cardiaced, lol! We let them back in the game and missed so many opportunities to put this game away! Monty had an excellent outing and has been consistent in net the past 3-4 games. Hope to see more of this and not a slide back into mediocrity. Go Habs go!
lol i fell asleep during the 3rd, woke up in OT
