If the Winnipeg Jets are going to climb out of the hole they’ve created, it has to start now.
Running out of runway, Tuesday night’s matchup against 18-year-old Matthew Schaefer and the New York Islanders is the next hurdle in what would need to be a flawless climb back into contention.
Islanders play-by-play voice Alan Fuehring joins Cam and Jim to explain what makes Schaefer so special. Perhaps some of Long Island’s defensive structure can rub off on Winnipeg as well — the Islanders rank third in the NHL in goals against, while the Jets sit 14th.
On the roster front, Collin Miller has been placed on injured reserve, with Isaak Phillips recalled in response. What role might Phillips play moving forward, and was it surprising the call didn’t go to Ville Heinola or Elias Salomonsson?
Plus, Rick Bowness is back!
All that and more on today’s edition of Jets @ Noon.

We need these next 2 games Minisota and Toronto on top of all the others but thses 2 to me will tell what the rest of the season, should they lose either and its far time to clean house starting with Chevy, maybe Arnel then go down the list anyone who is not going to make it or can't cut it gone we have too many passangers on this team
How come uploaded to you tube so late?
Kotkaniemi, mangiapane, bertuzzi I understand the thought process but I think go for younger players like zary, Johnson, schneider. Probably harder to do but more worthwhile if possible.
