This was a scheduled loss. Just how this team operates, we have a few really good wins when we play good hockey, then we have nights like these where we do the exact opposite.
Absurd scheduling. Obviously from the Olympics but still. Into k Detroit has the most Back to backs games played by a large amount so far. Good news is their schedule is a lot easier after the break.
I was at the game last night and they just didn't have their legs and hey back to back wasn't surprised by the outcome and talbot kept them in it but late when they had a surge Swayman straight up robbed Kane on a beautiful one timer set up then the very next shift Larkin hits the post. Just wasn't their night.
-The media questions and commentary are beyond terrible. They're reaching so hard for some in depth conversation, but the dudes were just tired and didn't have it tonight. -Talbot was amazing. Great to see both tendies crushing. -Kane and Kasper looked tired and weak. Lost almost all the battles on the boards for pucks -Dump and chase lead to too many turnovers. Felt like they should have abandoned that after the 1st period. -Seider and Edvinsson were stellar per usual.
not like they falling into last place this years team has yet to be out of the top half of their division all season and battling to stay at the top of the entire eastern conference is something everyone seems to dismiss about the turnaround job the team and the new coaching staff have achieved so far in this 2026 season;so shame on the idiot fans who overlook this!! π€·ββοΈπͺπ«€ππ€·ββοΈπ
Talbs played incredible and kept us in the game until the bitter end. Boys just looked mentally and physically tired. It was a tough game and Boston limited us with aggression and physical play. Wings finally woke up in the latter half of the game but it wasn't enough. Just one loss. If we maintain the point pace we've been on this year, absolutely zero worries. LGRW!
With the might of our Head Coach Todd McLellan. He will teach the legendary Patrick Kane some of the basics of hockey. Forcheck, backcheck, stickcheck. As Kanes biggest fan, I know he has it in him
Thing is, if the Wings want to be taken seriously as a potential playoff team, they need to get aggressive with a team who historically is aggressive with them, i.e. the Bruins, Panthers, etc. These teams will try to hurt or scare the Wings into playing soccer hockey after they crash them into the boards, similar to what happened last night against the Bruins. The Bruins are not a good team, but if they can scare their opponent like they did with the Wings playing on their heals after getting crashed into the boards, they can beat you. The moment Wings notice their opponent is playing aggressive with them, which is common whenever the Bruins play the Wings, the Wings need to return the favor legally with hard hits against the boards if they want to get any respect from their opponent. Just think, the Wings didn't have a shot on goal in the 3rd period until about 5 minutes left in the game. They gotta play to win and be all business on the ice. They'll need to get better defensemen on the lower 6 as Seider and Edvinnson are playing too many minutes and may show signs of fatigue soon or just before qualifying for the playoffs.

Larkin is the worst captain in this teams history
well, 3 games in 4, 4 games in 6. I am not holding it against them. Rest up, come out strong against the shorks. LFGRW!

Tough game regardless with that goalie.

Itβs kinda funny Tampa has 11 games winning streak but only a point ahead of the Wings. lol so wild. This Atlantic division is bananas
34 games remaining and only 3 more sets back to backs. If the wings can get between 37 and 40 points thru the last 34 games I think they'll make it.

These media questions are really getting old. Itβs a game. The players are doing their best. No one likes losing.

Helen with some of her questions π Larkin looked puzzled. The way she words her questions is very peculiar
Couple things:
-The media questions and commentary are beyond terrible. They're reaching so hard for some in depth conversation, but the dudes were just tired and didn't have it tonight.
-Talbot was amazing. Great to see both tendies crushing.
-Kane and Kasper looked tired and weak. Lost almost all the battles on the boards for pucks
-Dump and chase lead to too many turnovers. Felt like they should have abandoned that after the 1st period.
-Seider and Edvinsson were stellar per usual.

Seider should be Captain. Period.

LARKIN FOR TEAM USA CAPTAIN!!!!
Drove 2 hours there and back to watch that π
I hate Boston. None of the games this season the Wings have looked good against Boston even the one they won.
