Jack Quinn SNIPES two goal to keep the Buffalo Sabres RED HOT in win over the Ducks

The Buffalo Sabres have now won 13 of their last 14 games following their win against the Ducks. The building was packed, loud, and the Sabres gave the fans a lot to cheer about. Jack Quinn leads the way with two goals, the opening goal, and the game-winning goal. Sneaky Joe was impressed all the way around by the Sabres effort. Skating, hits, defense, fights, goals… but only for 55 minutes.

The Sabres yet again, almost collapsed with three goals allowed in the final minutes. Lindy Ruff was clearly upset about the effort late in his postgame comments. Is the Sabres late game problem something that is going to stick with them and cost them games?

The common thread in the last three games in third periods seems to be the Sabres backing off and not pressuring the way they do in the first two periods.

  1. That point on melting at the end of games was important to pick up. Team should really study their endgames and pick up from them. Ofcourse they are still learning to lead and it have gone well, but to get more stronger would mean also being strong in the end of games.

  2. At the game tonight. When Buffalo headed to the 5 on 3, several people around me saw Seth Appert talking to the power play group and there was a lot of grumbling and eyerolling lol. Disaster of a system.

  3. Quinn is a natural goal scorer. Can't have too many of those. Still want to trade him for Panarin?? 🤣🤣🤣 We should never let Joe forget about his bizzare Panarin trade ideas!

  4. Power play and shutting the door with these leads needs to be worked on. If they can clean that up a bit, will be really tough to beat. No late game penalty yesterday though which was nice

  5. I'm so happy that I can love this team again dude. Lets pray they keep it pushing to February and into March. Go Sabres and Go Bills

  6. Panarin would be a great playoff push addition.Short term hired gun. If Benson starts scoring he'd be mentioned with Celebrini, Schaefer, and other young players. Sabres back checking recently some of best in league. Krebs on first line to feed Tage and Doan.O'lund on 4th to be fed by Mal' and G'way creating balance.

  7. I think I’ve seen more skate blades coming off this season than I ever have before. I’d be interested in finding out if they use the same skate or chassis

  8. I'm thrilled they're winning, finally. Issues I see are still the PP, it takes 1:30 just to set up for a potential shot, I'll never understand what they're doing. I'd still trade Quinn if possible, I'd still trade Power, if possible. I'd be keeping Dunne in the lineup over Greenway. Goalie situation is or still will be a thing when Lyon is healthy. I've wanted to trade UPL since before the season, so I'll stick with. I wanted to buyout Samuelsson since before the season. Can't really do that if he's going to finally play up to his abilities. Him and Doan have been the biggest upsides to this team this year IMO.

  9. I think these last two games with UPL are all you need to see as a GM to figure out the goalie situation. Almost blowing a lead late in the 3rd it's unacceptable. We don't need to make excuses.

  10. Just pleased that the wagon train continues 13/14 games. Still want to clean up those third period let downs. Go Sabres!!!

  11. I agree with your 3rd period analysis. They are not pressuring in the neutral zone whatsoever. Also, Dahs looks rough out there. I feel bad for him. I can only imagine how his future wife’s health is effecting him. Pray for him and his fiancée.
