Don’t trade for Hamilton. If you’re gonna use assets, use it to acquire Jason Robertson. Not Hamilton he’s old and not worth his contract

That's a huge overpay from the leafs for a soft 9M dman having a terrible season. 10 points in 40 games and a -7. At bare minimum would need 50% retained and less assets going to the devils.

Im a Devils fan, my buddies are leafs fans, and they all want him. A couple even said reilly for hamilton, one for one lmfao enjoy to whoever gets him lol. He still has a bomb to be fair
Hamilton's been awful. Worse than awful. He has a huge body and refuses to check. His one big asset, his slap shot, has disappeared since his last injury making Hamilton worthless. And he makes $9m/year for that worthlessness. He seems to put in minimum effort. Infuriating.
Awful take. Hamilton's pretty useless right now and an anchor around the necks of the Devils. They should have moved him years ago. But GM Fitzgerald is a complete idiot. Going to be hard to find a sucker to take on this guy and that contract.
Sharks fan… after reading the comments of Devils fans I’m relieved that he’s dumb enough not to approve a trade to SJ. This team does not need another over the hill blue-liner (we already have Nick Leddy filling that role!), especially one who isn’t excited to come here begin with.

That's a no for SJ. it's a summer story, not a 44 games into the season story, he rejected it, they moved on and they got what they wanted from Klingberg who did just fine on the PP before the injury. What SJ is currently looking for, is a real top pair Dman (preferable a shutdown). They dont need another project player with a huge cap. That was THEN, and this is NOW

If my SJS Get Hamilton, two contracts need to go the other way to make room for Misa. Nick Leddy getting dumped is worth it. Either way, I hope we don’t give up much for him, dosent seem like a big upgrade for us

As a Sharks fan, I really hope Mike Grier as pivoted away from his desire to bring Hamilton to San Jose. Hamilton is into his 30s and has another two years after this one, @ 9 mil per. He also comes with a significant injury history. The risk of Hamilton’s contract becoming an albatross is too high. (For those who remember the old Lost in Space TV show, I can hear the robot calling out, “Danger, danger Will Robinson…err…Mike Grier!”)
Finally, while not my primary reason for not wanting him, I can’t forget he’s already expressed his desire for not wanting to come to San Jose. He comes with too many red flags for San Jose to bail him out and pay for his departure from Jersey. Please, Mike Grier, PASS!!!
I would rather see Andersson traded to Detroit rather than Hamilton.
