When you draft a First round player either send him to Wolfpack to get minutes you don’t draft and put him on 4 th line getting 8 to 10 minutes a game. They fucked this kid up big time. Plus get him off of Panarin line for some reason he just wants to pass to Bread
Dude Mika is cooked – hes on pace for 54 points, lowest points per game since 2017, he is soooo slow. Laffy sucks, he's getting traded this summer, low value but who cares – shed the contract and he's 24 so he can be moved. His best season is with Panarin & Trocheck – he has had good players on his lines – hes done. I truly hate him as a player and overall this team is dog shit.
Ok. Here's the problem with player development. The Rangers are a team with a contending lineup and payroll that plays like crap and drafts way higher than they should. Unlike rebuilding teams, when you draft first overall, there is no number 1 roll available and the team is trying to win so rookies don't have the room to make mistakes and grow as players. This team needs a full blowup
Not only does Laf lack the talent of almost every other 1OA pick, but he doesn't try worth a damn, ever. He IS the reason this team sucks. You can't survive a bust at 1OA the year after a bust at 2OA
The Rangers are a team that was in a rebuild and short circuited it. They will have to rebuild again. Lafrenierre is a problem because they need him to succeed.
As a Senators fan I am so glad that the Senators had the 3 OA pick in the 2020 draft. Tim Stützle has almost as many points as Alexis Lafreniere and Quinton Byfield put together. In a 2020 NHL redraft, he would almost certainly go 1 OA.
I can't believe the Rangers had a 2 OA pick and 1 OA pick in concecutive years and went 0-2.

Montreal would trade for him. In return we’d ask you to take Laine in the last year of his contract and we’ll take a 2nd and 4th round pick for Laffy’s remaining years. Then we’ll play him with Dach on the third line, put him on the 2nd PP and rehab our native son. Merci mes amis!
