Pure Chaos in the Crease | NHL Goalies Go to Work in Week 13

Week 13 delivered total chaos in the crease — paddle clears, cartwheel saves, desperation stops, and sequences that simply should not be possible.

Joseph Woll kicked things off by slapping the puck out of danger with the paddle to erase a Devils chance, while Charlie Lindgren stunned the crowd with an acrobatic cartwheel save on Gabe Perreault. Jake Allen slid across with the blocker to deny a dangerous Columbus opportunity, and MacKenzie Blackwood stole the spotlight with a stunning triple-save sequence against St. Louis — including a blocker stop on Snuggerud, a perfect pad read on a backdoor play, and another highlight-reel blocker denial on Brayden Schenn.

Toronto’s Denis Hildeby somehow made a last-second save on Mark Scheifele to preserve the win, Thatcher Demko got just enough of the toe on a shootout attempt by Kaapo Kakko, and Jacob Markstrom showed his athleticism with a diving save on Michael Carcone.

Calvin Pickard slid across to deny a wraparound chance, Jordan Binnington got a piece of an Ivan Demidov rocket one-timer, Jeremy Swayman shut down former teammate Jake DeBrusk on a rebound chance, and Sam Montembeault went full extension with the blocker to rob Sam Steel.

And when it mattered most, Dustin Wolf finished the week with a perfectly timed stretched pad save on Jared McCann.

Which save was the most ridiculous in Week 13?

  1. "Incredible by Tarasov" and Caufield just hit the post. "Off the blocker" and Tarasov didn't touch it at any point in the play. Panthers fans are grossly underserved by their awful broadcasting team.
