Bizzaro injuries and an inert front office set the stage for what the devils franchise will forever know as “The Fumble.” When the entire hockey universe tells the players and the fans of a reeling team that they’re getting a generational player who will ultimately unite the devils family en route to glory, and then the hockey universe suddenly swerves in the opposite direction, things are gonna go south for the psychological health of a franchise.
Lane Hutson is playing with 3rd pair defencemen since 5 games in when Guhle got injured is 3rd in points by defecemen on a rebuilding team and these clowns dont even aknowledge it . Clowns this chanel is dead and no wonder its all about 4 teams they like and have no clue about the rest of the league . Montreal just played Dallas Hutson goal and assist. Adam fox is playing with one of the best goalie duo in the league ….. what are you even smoking . If they didnt stand on their heads most of the nights rangers would be in the bottom of the league with the way they play most of the time . 🤡
Colby's take on Fox is spot on. Dominant brain in the routine nhl game that gets diluted in the best on best setting without other attributes to compensate.
As far as Olympic fuck ups go, leaving Robertson off of the US team is right up there with Australia bringing a chick who can’t break dance. lol

If Fox goes to drury and wants out I totally don't blame him. I will cry uncontrollably like a baby but I totally respect it. The league under appreciates Fox but it's insane the way the team continues to pretend he's not the best player on our team (him and Igor but you get my point lol)
Lane Hutson is a bigger snub than Fox. 3rd in Dman scoring only behind Makar by 5 points and tied for first in assist. Controls the game night in night out and only 21 years old

USA Hockey has relied too heavily on the “right players” or “team fit”based on their last gold medal 45 years ago in a victory coined a MIRACLE and hasn’t won a gold since based on the same philosophy of grit/role player mindset

Mad drama in my cuppa coffee this morning. If Fox thinks so well maybe he should just get into philosophy and scratch that chin while he thinks. Overrated. As for Drury, respect the guy but I don’t know how he will recover from Trotchek, Panarin, Fox departures. Need a top three pick and God help us all.
Maybe the rangers coaching staff is covering for Fox because coming off his injury he didn't want to go to the Olympics?

For a couple of years I was hoping Noah Dobson would raise his game to that of Adam Fox. Now we have #48, and it's ALL good for Isles fans. As for the latter discussion at 44:00, Kenny Morrow won a Gold Medal and Stanley Cup in 1980.

Really enjoying the show and wanted to wish you both a happy new year. Looking forward to the Olympics tournament as a Sharks fan to see how young Macklin fares. I have been a die hard Sharks for over 30 years and have seen a lot of great players but, I have never seen another Shark's player do what Macklin is doing and at such a young age. Macklin just keeps exceeding expectations.
To that point I would be interested to know what you guys thought about the Jamie Moser/Celebrini incident and the resulting response from both teams afterwards? From my perspective (I am legally blind so I may have missed something that you guys saw and I didn't) I don't think the Sharks really had an issue with Moser's hits. They were clean hits. Plus, Macklin in the last few weeks has been getting more physical in his fore checking game making some pretty good hits on defenders.
Personally I am fine with all of that. However, as a highly skilled offensively gifted elite player that usually enjoys a certain amount of deference (perhaps?) if you start hitting opposing players you take off that privilege of not getting clocked yourself. If you want to focus on the play and not the gritty side of hockey then don't play that way. If you cross that line then you should expect to get hit and even roughly treated to an extent.
Where I took issue with Moser's treatment of Macklin was at least on two occasions that I saw Moser hit Macklin cleanly and knocked him off his skates to the ice but, THEN he proceeded to give him a little bit of the business while Macklin was trying to get back up. I think Moser got away with it once that second time was where the Sharks wanted to kill Moser and lost their composure.
I love guys sticking up for each other even if a guy who is not a known tough guy like Tom Wilson or Ryan Reeves. Loved William Eklund jumping in immediately without hesitation to get in Moser's grill. Clearly if Moser had wanted to he would have pulverized Eklund who is a scrappy fore checker but, not a big guy.
I don't know Moser as a player so my issue with him was:
1) He mugged Macklin on the ice twice after a clean hit.
2) When the Sharks 4th liners got the chance to pull his card he wouldn't drop the gloves with any of those guys which makes me question if he is more of a sandpaper guy who prefers to get under opposing teams player's skin and get them off their game and draw retaliation penalties rather than a physical player like a Wilson or a Reeves?
Personally, if you are a sandpaper guy that's fine do your thing and make hits and chirp but, if you go after opposing teams top players AND you mug them like that even once then I think you are obligated whether you really want to or not to answer the bell when an opposing team's tough guys come knocking on your door.
That is my perspective as someone who never played hockey at all. Thanks boys for a fun show.

If you’re a real Ranger fan and you have watched Fox get caved in 2 conference finals and 4 nations you can only hope he asks for a trade. Fox is slow soft and small. Rangers will never win with Fox as our 1D !!
