This Oilers team DESPERATELY needs a bottom-6-whisperer. Coach Knoblauch, unfortunately, has now proven himself to be an offence-killer; ironic, as he also doesn't get very good defense out of his team. Unless the Oil win the Cup this post-season, Bowman will remove Kris and bring in … i dunno, somebody? Anybody? Pete Deboer? Mark Messier? Somebody who will coach with passion (please God, NOT Tortorella!), and will show the bottom-6 how to effectively play the game, dump the puck in, retrieve it while punishing the opposition's D-men, and take the biscuit to the net.

We obviously need more from our bottom six since they're the worst I've ever seen in the McDavid era. Honestly though, I feel we need more from our second line aswell and especially Draisaitl. He's the highest paid player on the team and sure he's got alot of points but he's not putting the puck in the back of the net nearly as much as he should. We all know he's alot better of a player 5on5 than he's shown these past ~10 games or whatever. Anyways, I guess there's no better team to wake him up than the preds. COME ON DRAI I WANNA SEE SOME GOALS TONIGHT!
The team always seem to crash after a break, so its a safe bet that on the Olympic break two things will happen. They will crash after the break, plus McD will be emotionally drained when he cones back, so that equates to zero offense. Which then puts them on the brink of making the playoffs, and if they do get in it will be 0 and 4.

I really do think Mangiapane is just a bad fit in Edmonton. He was better in Washington even though even with the role he played there, he dipped in production yet brought physicality and penalty killing. I think elsewhere he’ll be utilized much better.
