Kelly Chase and Brett Hull were joined by former teammate Basil McRae, his son and former St. Louis Blue Philip McRae, as well as former NHL defenseman Chris Wideman for an Ice Guardians Watch Party. During the game the guys talked about some of the best cities to play in, Wides tells a few stories from his days in the KHL, and Chaser and Bas remember Basil’s first fight with Bob Probert after coming to the Blues.
Ice Guardians, presented by Siteman Cancer Center, comes to you from the Window World Studios.

Please have Craig Coxe on. He wasn't a Blue for long, but he has stories!
Another great show, boys! Great to see Basil again. Best fucking podcast going.
Great show
Great podcast… was always hoping Basil would end up n NYR!
Hi guys I'm a superfan.
"He's Got Legs and He Knows How To Use Them" Who has the most powerful legs that could control space better than most, Mr Hull (Brett) is probably numero uno.
Thanks guys prayers and wishes
Amazing show guys! So happy to find you. Listening to the story about Probert reminds me that he was Oglethorpe. It is amazing to see you all, especially Basil! Keep up the great work.
Please have bob bassen sometime. He was massively underrated
I need that shirt. Please share them
Love the pod boys!!! Great to hear chasers stories all the time.. nvm having the all time legend Brett beside him!! Thxs boys love it!!!
Chris Wideman is the best!!
What Basil forgot to tell you was his youth hockey parents were required to sign a form with all the rules. If you broke a rule, you were out. No screaming allowed at the other team or the refs, best idea ever for youth sports, and he meant it. Tell Brett to ask Monty about his KHL experience–cash shakedowns on the street by police and ask how he had his sports hernia diagnosed. My guys, love you all. Hope Butchie was in STL long enough to join you for an upcoming segment.
Great memories coaching Phil with the Ontario Blues in spring hockey (2000-2006), Lots of laughs with Baz after he moved himself off the bench and gave me the reigns. When I realized the talent we had on that team (Tavares, Stamkos, Petro, etc) the just wanted a door-opener instead of a coach! Lifetime memories for sure!
No the one thing us kids had they a Brett hull 3 part series comic book!
I have something here for Chaser. His days as a Humboldt Bronco.
I was paralyzed back in 06, wish I had guys like Twister to break me free of the hospital prison.
Keep these coming fellas, love it. Merry Christmas Hully and Chaser
Junior Blues huh….
My brother and I played for the Motor City Chiefs…
Couldn’t stand the fuckin Jr Blues…
I mean… couldn’t stand getting our ass’ kicked by the Jr Blues..
lol… And we were a solid team…
And they still whooped us…
We beat Peoria… who was usually #2 in that league at that time…
But we couldn’t touch the Blues…
