The oilers need to start giving other players PP time. Sure the PP may go down a few %, but it will get more players involved. How are other players, especially offensive players supposed to build confidence if they dont get PP time?
We should move Howard while there is still some hype around him. Knoblauch definitely needs to be fired!
Knoblach should play the Kid Line in situations where they’re able to succeed instead of putting them in a defensive zone faceoff. One thing is for sure, they do need to up their defensive game and forecheck more. Even so, I think they should be given the opportunity to actively succeed through offensive zone starts. Don’t Barry them into the 4th line either. It doesn’t work.
Now would be the time when we need Kane, Perry and Brown

You’re not creating offence with Henrique and Janmark. Go season to season with those guys as oilers and realize that they get the most minutes. That’s a GM problem. Not a coaching problem. I think knobs doing the best with what he’s got
Andrew plays best when matched with same style wing man that has ice time and practice cohesion to click.
Jonathan Huberdeau, Elias Lindholm and Andrew Mangiapane was the pairing where Andrew shined best, Jonathan Huberdeau, Elias Lindholm passing skill style needs to be replicated with oilers players , and that Andrew could be what brings back his best showing again . There are a couple of guys that could slip into the line role to duplicate that line pair success , as yet however they have not been put on same line. if you know the guys who would be on that line together . comment below , if not ill post it later and you will see that (AH HA MOMENT OF, YES OF COURSE WHY WASNT THAT PAIRING MATCHES picked TILL NOW WHEN IT BECOMES So OBVIOUS ) Let's see who can guess or strategize using that requirement . anyone up to the challenge ?
With all due respect, genuinely, the Pacific, is the laughing stock of the NHL this season, being in 1st in that division, and pseudo at that, since other teams have games in hand, is hardly a monumental accomplishment for what is supposed to be a solid Stanley Cup contender.
I'm not a fan of Knoblauch, and haven't been for some time. I think Knoblauch's success, is a product of his players, not the other way around.
You put this guy on any team that isn't Colorado, or Edmonton, and his numbers would fall off a cliff.
That being said, I hope he's fired, but I think you're right, at this point, there will not be such a severe shake up. I just don't hold my breath on a return to the SCF this season, seeing how things are unfolding.
Still, anything can happen. I "hope" Knoblauch gets them across the finish line, I just don't expect that he will. 🤷♂

The NHL is so messed up right now. The Avalanche are the only team that can guarantee a win. Just one team out of 32. Think about that. It's the second least possible, zero being the least. And the second-best team in the NHL right now is the biggest debate in pro sports. Take a look at the standings, you will see what I'm talking about. I have never seen parity like this before.
It's time for the oiler's management needs to wake up. Play everyone equal time. McDavid and driasitil are not the second coming. Leave the same players on the same line for at least 3 games. At the very least get rid of hobb knob.
I think the biggest mistake was signing Tristan. Have the Oil finished paying off Jack Campbell yet? I'd almost say they are hooped this year. Mangiapane is the least of this teams problems. Its a 2 line team with weak goaltending. Oh, and Nurse……….

Bouchard makes five bad turnovers resulting in a goal or two against, then he scores a goal on an assist from best player in the game and wow, Bouchard is now a hero…getting sick of this shit, Bouchard and Nurse are way over paid and taking a huge chunk out of their teams salary cap, all this from poor management decisions

The entire team left Picard high and dry. The first goal with the pass right to the front…it happened sucxessfully right after a time where it was really close. Getting beat right down the middle twixe in the first 5 minutes. Rough

At the start of the season anyone with half a brain could see the changes to the team and assume that this was going to be an off year. There's still half a season, so let's see what happens. Also, I would imagine this summer will be a busy time for Edmonton. Next season my hopes are very high. Until then let's afford them time to sort themselves out.
