Knobs seems to be always be "adjusting" and making decisons on the fly, indecisive lately, etc. In contrast, I been watching the Av's and their coach just sits back and barely has to do/say anything while on the bench. I think the Av's built a strong structure, foundation, identity and system behind the scenes, during training camp, etc and now they just let em loose and watch the magic. Its like a master programmer who programs a well oiled machine and then just hits the button and watches the machine do they work and get results. The Oilers Machine needs "Oil" Ironocally. I like knobs though I wish he succeeds but if they continue to flail, they may be forced to make that change

Shoot the puck , SHOOT! so many times the oilers possess the puck in the o-zone for 1 minute +. Playing keep away. No pressure on net. Watch florida. Watch colorado. 2 passess in the ozone and there is a shot towards the net. There needs to be a 3 pass maximum rule in the ozone. Then a puck needs to go on net.
When it comes to the bottom six, you wont get much production from them until you start giving them more PP time. Hutson for example. Mangiapane another example. I dont care if the PP % drops, having 2 PP units will get more players involved, build confidence , and get more players involved. Whatever is lost on the PP will be made up with 5v5 play.

i mean what happens if we fire knob? we hire another coach go on a 10 game win streak make it back to the finals just to lose because no depth scoring and mcdavid draisaitl get infected by injuries 😢
I agree Draisaitl has dried up in last few games here. He is not moving his feet. A lot of the goals against is the fault of that line. Giving the top two lines most of the game minutes leaves little time for the third and fourth to really build chemistry. I would like to see Lazar as third line centre. The kids need to have a veteran player to play with. Henrique for me would always be fourth line centre. Why is Mangiapane even playing right now he should be a healthy scratch. You cannot have all your smaller player on one line. Each line definitely needs a grinder that is willing to crash the net and hit. There is a reason why Draisaitl requests to have Podkolzin on his line because he’s a grinder. That’s Lazar on the third line. Your fourth line should almost be grinders to wear down the other team. That’s your job. That is not Savoie or mangiapane. They must give that third line more ice time. Six minutes in a game is not enough to build any chemistry.
Line blending has killed this team. Period All the best teams have set lines, always been that way. Set the lines and let them develop chemistry, familiarity and flow.
Oilers need a coach who understands, they aren't a defense team. Built for speed, Goal's. Let them play

Consistency both ends of the ice has been a problem. This team can look good for a stretch and look bottom of the barrel for a stretch. More lows than highs so far this season, I honestly dont see the Oilers making it past the first round. Coaching is an issue, I am so sick of seeing the lines changed constantly and we need a coach that is gonna light a fire under these guy's ass when needed…Knobs aint that guy….dont get me started on Bowman or Jackson.
I’m so pissed we need a new coach and desperately the oilers CANT JS CANT continue the season with Kris. We need a new coach.. I bet if we get a new coach he’d be surprised how much talent this team has that Knoblauch isn’t putting to use I BET.
Fire all the main guys Jackson, Bowman, and Knoblauch.
Something is wrong with this team, lack of heart/passion, urgency, and putting players in positions that shouldn't be in.

If they fire the coach, no more hiring a brand new coach. Hire someone who has experience. I'm not a fan of Knob. I think Gully and Coffey were huge reasons for the success the last two seasons. Every day/night this season I look at the lineup or lines and cannot believe what I'm seeing.

It's the same old playbook. Connor always carries the team without enuff support and I suspect it won't change. I've said from the start you have to get the best line that might fit and just let the chemistry happen. Kobby is panic reacting now, and we're not going to qualify for the playoffs and he needs to go I believe. And may Bowman too! Being physical will always be a part of the game, just have to smart hit and be on the opposition like white on rice…..Bring back Glen Sather. He could wheelchair coach better than Knobby.
Henrique 3rd line absolutely not, Hutson with his scoring with Codors should move up to 3rd line , I really want to see him get a good chance to see his potential, just my opinion!
Arghhh. Start the rebuild now. Too many GM errors. Done. It is over Oilers fans. Next year is Cap hell AGAIN. Oilers have gone backwards full speed since the 2024 Cup finals. This team is slow walking McDavid out the door. Really wish McDavid would have been traded this year with no extension.
despite some good stats for Knoblauch, I never liked him and his style. He said over 12 months ago himself, to the question 'are you the type that talks a lot instructions to players or rather "here are the keys to the castle, go play" and he answered "here are the keys to the castle and go play". To me that strategy, translates into 1) chaos 2) depends on the mood of McDrai 3) throw the puck deep and chase 4) uncontrolloed, panic-ed, chaotic transitiont from D- to O-Zone. And that is what I see consistently, no good passing schemes, no calm, guided transitions and we are UP and DOWN all the time, depending. on how McDrai feels like playing on each day. The coach belongs long time ago fired. McDrai makes him look better than he is. From Teams 32nd to 1st, all but the Oilers have more disciplined Defense, better calmer transitions through passing from D- to O-Zones and more consistent playing. There is no more temperamental teams than us, and once we get scored on, we are 'done' for the day. Knoblauch has to go, and aside from biased Edmonton Media, no one should see it any other way! Unfortunately Bowman and him sit in the same boat, and unless Katz or Jackson saw this for what it is, we will not see him gone, and yet another failed SC run this year rather.
