Knies was crowding a bit over his territory into Hischiers and he didn’t like it and made it known. Knies responded by leaning even more inside and Nico had enough.

I don’t understand why people would call Knies the captain of the Leafs when he fought a guy who’s smaller and not a fighter himself…but I guess Auston Matthews won’t even fight Nico I suppose.
It’d be more impressive if Knies fought Dillon, Noesen or Glendening (that guy is a surprising force I’ve found).

I’m not always a fan of the refs jumping in the second one player tips over, but I did admire the way Hischier just nods and watched Knies pinned to the ice in a vulnerable position, knowing that Knies clocked him good. Move on…
