The New York Rangers look to be a team that should be sellers at the upcoming NHL trade deadline in March. One player that needs to be dealt, as they can’t afford to lose him for nothing, is Artemi Panarin. In today’s video, we look at some trade targets that could help replace what the team would lose with a guy like Panarin’s possible signing elsewhere in the summer.

STOP š RIGHT THERE. NO TRADES UNTIL DRURY IS GONE AND UMEMPLOYED.
NO MORE TRADES BY DRURY AS A GM
Fatal problem: Panarin has a full No Movement Clause.
Even if some teams were willing to part with half their roster and all their draft picks, Bread could refuse.
Realistically, while the chances of moving off of Panarin is slim, due to his fully protected no movement clause. It's not completely impossible. The only way for this to actually happen, will be to find a team he doesn't mind waiving his NMC for. Rangers will more then likely have to eat half of his cap hit until the end of the season. The team he also agreed to be dealt too, will also need to make it a sign and trade type of deal for Panarin. So it would probably take three teams to be part of this deal if Panarin does get dealt, which will make it harder to move off of him. Like when Mikko was dealt to the Canes.
Youāre crazy. Youāre not going to get any value for him. The best value is to keep him. They are also not rebuilding. You are also not going to find the same production or skill.
The only realistic trade option proposed there is Kyrou & if a first rounder is included it would be a good deal, however, who knows if Panarin wants to go to St. Louis which is not a playoff team. Panarin likely wants to stay in NY, so all he has to do is wait for free agency, where he can get the most money & go where he wants. In this scenario I see Drury caving & giving him what he wants rather than lose him for nothing & Panarin gets to stay in NY. If not, he hits the jackpot!
Get rid of Drury, Artemi, and Alexi
No more 7 to 10mil contracts.
