If edvinson learns to use his point shot better, they could be th best d duo since pronger and al makinon, but edvinson needs to continue to improve positionally, a 6'8 d man should not regularly let forwards get behind him on the boardswhen hi ms d partner pinches, but hes barely scratched the surface of his offensive potential.
It seemed to me that the rest of the team really stepped up after Edvinsson made his stand – that was good to see.
Beating Toronto is like getting 2 wins out of 1 game. 🤣
Ed is gonna be really good, i think in a couple years he will be the #1 D on the team. Theres a reason VAN wanted him and theres a reason we said nope lol
Leonard has played great for this team, when players sag and dont engage he is constantly engaged, its great motivation for these young guys like danielson and kasper who are both so close to breaking out. Its tough to take soda out for a game, but leonard is getting vlose to 10 games where they could lose him so he may get sent down, and id expect injuries to allow soda to get ice time at some point.

The LCA was pumping last night in the 3rd period and in OT. So much fun to be there (from Wisconsin) for that win, to be on the goal side for both Seider's and Edvinsson's goals and for the scrum behind & in front of Talbot.

We did not play well and did not deserve to win.
Gibby pushed so hard in that game but they didn't help him and never created any type of offensive at all.
Tons of line shuffles and nothing ever amounted to goals.
Tough loss to see in person.
Sorry. But after getting their doors blown off by Carolina I’m finding it hard to get excited for the rest of the season. They are pretenders not contenders. Would be happy to be wrong.

Watching ASP, other than that play that led to the goal, he made some good plays. He had the blue line attempted shot where his stick broke, and he raced to get down the ice to interrupt the Leafs player, keeping the shot an easier one for Talbot to handle. He also had another really good defensive play later, and you could tell he was working hard to make up for his defensive lapse that led to the goal earlier. I also watched Chiarot talking to him all the time after plays & shifts. He's getting a lot of what he needs to develop, and he's tough on himself and learns quickly.
The defenseman that has been truly struggling that I'm more concerned about it AlJo. He and JBD get hemmed in far too often, and I watched AlJo whiff on multiple clearing and shot attempts. He was visibly angry with himself, knowing he'd screwed up.
Understandable that when the Wings are trying to maintain at least the tie, they are going to pull their offensive d-man who is still learning lockdown defense. But true lapses & struggles across the board, AlJo has been a bigger concern at 24yo.

Do you know how you know things are different for the Red Wings this season?? You know how you know Toronto isn't good as well??.. besides being 5-0 vs the Leafs, when you go on a Toronto Maple Leafs channel in reference to this game it's VERY VERY hard to find a Toronto Maple Leaf fan ragging the Red Wings or fans..😅.. and honestly it's not even so much as they're being respectful it's just there just not saying anything bad about the Red Wings.. it's weird.. HELL, I haven't found myself giving support to certain Maple Leaf fans at times with certain comments 😬😅
